First things first around here means champagne; non-alcoholic may it be!<\/p><\/div>\n

What a beautiful morning, the weather is brisk, the sun is out, and the birds are flying backward to see where they have been!\u00a0 Glorious!\u00a0 First things first, of course, we must clean the house because the house cleaners are coming! Huh? Yes, we have asked about this, and most of our friends do the same thing!\u00a0 We don’t rearrange the dust ahead of time; we leave that to them!<\/p>\n

Colleen called us early on the Bat Phone to relay how Alex was doing. We, of course, telephoned Joe and Amy to offer any assistance that we could.\u00a0 We know CHOC quite well, and he is in good hands.<\/p>\n

Time for breakfast\/brunch, and just as we said to each other, let’s call Robin, the phone rang.\u00a0 We joined Robin at the Yucatan Grill in Seal Beach.\u00a0 I did the Shrimp Diablo (Jumbo shrimp simmered in a hot and spicy habanero sauce.). In contrast, Robin did a salad, and Sue attacked a vegetarian Chile Relleno (California green chili stuffed with cheese and covered with Ranchero sauce and cheese.).<\/p>\n

The Chili Relleno was, as usual, fantastic, according to Sue.<\/p>\n

In Mexico, it consists of a stuffed, roasted, fresh poblano pepper (a large and mild chili pepper named after the city of Puebla), sometimes replaced with a Hatch chile, Anaheim, pasilla or even jalape\u00f1o chili pepper. In 1858 it was described as a “green chile pepper stuffed with minced meat and coated with eggs.”<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

They moved to this location twenty years ago, before that they operated from a closed Taco Bell facility right around the corner from us.<\/p>\n

We have gone there for 30 years, and it is always excellent!!<\/p><\/div>\n

So, after making a quick stop at Coldstone Creamery (to put out the fire caused by Shrimp Diablo), we decided a nap was in our future and quite a rest it was.\u00a0 Around three o’clock, we went horizontal, and we woke up to a dark house.\u00a0 Three solid hours of sleep felt good!<\/p>\n

I popped over to CVS to pick up a prescription for a facial cream to get rid of the rosacea I developed. Rosacea is a long-term skin condition that typically affects the face.<\/p>\n

We chatted with Collen again on the Bat Phone, and as we talked, Joe and Amy called, so we did a three-way and got the latest news.<\/p>\n

Then to the TV where we began watching M*A*S*H, and it was so funny to watch the interaction between the characters. Remember, \u201cLife, Liberty, And The Pursuit Of Happy Hour.\u201d?<\/p>\n

Great comedy when comedy was funny and not DIRTY!<\/p><\/div>\n

Time to crash, so we went throughout nighttime ritual before the lights go out.\u00a0 We attempt to remember the Tibetan proverb we see at our Himalayan restaurant.<\/p>\n
