I once bought my kids a set of batteries for Christmas with a note on it saying, toys not included.<\/strong><\/p>\n

OMG, the temperatures are incredible.\u00a0 Global warming, my butt!\u00a0 Any colder and I will run the water at night, so we can go skating in the morning!<\/p>\n

Colleen made it home safely after a few minor setbacks. She mumbled something about putting a curse on a bus driver at the airport.\u00a0 I will keep my eye peeled about strange happenings in Boston related to bus drivers!<\/p>\n

We also used to Bat Phone to call Lisa C. and Robin, a successful morning as Bat Phone calling goes! We had an appointment with the back doctor, and he confirmed we do need to schedule a hospital “surgery” for her sacroiliac joint.<\/p>\n

Waiting for a new X-Ray<\/p><\/div>\n

The x-rays go pretty fast now that they are digital!\u00a0 He displayed the results and, without hesitation, asked his assistant to get an x-ray-guided sacroiliac injection scheduled at Long Beach Memorial ASAP.<\/p>\n

What a mess! Indeed the joint needs to get a steroid shot ASAP to stop the pain!<\/p><\/div>\n

We departed “happy” that our suspicions were confirmed, we waited too long!\u00a0 We celebrated by taking a nap and the up like a shot. We headed to ORCC for dinner with Mark and his traveling companions!<\/p>\n

Did You Know:\u00a0The Navy awarded Boeing a $43-million contract to build four Orca Extra Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (XLUUVs) for the service, according to a Wednesday Pentagon contract announcement.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Boeing based its winning Orca XLUUV design on its Echo Voyager unmanned diesel-electric submersible. The 51-foot-long submersible is launched from a pier and can operate autonomously while sailing up to 6,500 nautical miles without being connected to a manned mother ship, according to the Navy. Eventually, the Navy could also use the Orca XLUUV for mine countermeasures, anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, electronic warfare and strike missions, according to a Navy outline of the system\u2019s capability development.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are pleased with the Navy\u2019s decision to award Boeing a contract to build and deliver four Orca Extra Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicles, and are committed to providing this important autonomous undersea capability to meet the Navy\u2019s unique mission needs,\u201d the company said in a Thursday statement to USNI News.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The guys arrived right on time and just in time to get greeted by the ORCC carollers.\u00a0 They were staying at the local hotel that provides for visitors to Boeing meaning, they were about 1.5 miles from ORCC this evening!<\/p>\n

The five of us had a super time, and Grandma Sue was in a super mood taking several potshots ar Mark’s and my hairdo (or lack thereof).<\/p>\n

The subject of hot foods came up, and since we had stuffed ourselves with pasta this evening, I thought of fiery wings for dessert (you can always count on me for the weird ideas).<\/p>\n

Bruce dug right in and did well!<\/p>\n

No pictures of Mark and I, dang!\u00a0 Methinks we were to busy cracking jokes to think about photos of each other.\u00a0 Mark and I have similar senses of humor; I can tell by all the text messages we send each other!<\/p>\n

This old photo will have to do! It was from this Tuesday at ORCC’s Taco Tuesday!<\/p><\/div>\n

We all departed around 8:30 PM stuffed to the gills!\u00a0 Great fun, and nice to meet Mark’s co-workers!\u00a0 We told them if they come out again, call us ahead of time, and we will go to the local steak house!<\/p>\n
