I remember 65 years ago when life was simpler, and the damned computer and cell phones didn’t run our lives!<\/p><\/div>\n

We talked a lot about yesterday’s adventure with the gang.\u00a0 It was so much fun, and to have the kids join us made it more special!<\/p>\n

At the Ceder Creek Inn, we dined and visited for a couple of hours!\u00a0 Time goes very fast when you are with friends and family!<\/p>\n

The girls are all together so they can talk!<\/p><\/div>\n

Christmas is now officially in the air!\u00a0 I got out all yu Santa hats, about 15 in total.\u00a0 \u00a0I washed and dried them, so we are ready to go for Christmas!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s original German title was Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht. Joseph Mohr wrote the lyrics in 1816, and the music was composed by Franz Xaver Gruber 1818.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

As a heartwarming Christmas miracle, it was sung during the impromptu WWI Christmas truce. Because it was a carol popular in both English speaking and German-speaking countries, it was known by both sides. Both sides sang it in their respective languages.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

We were having our morning champagne when we decided to go to Taco Surf for lunch!\u00a0 It was perfect as we needed to drop off some medical information at a local doctors office and also go to Coldstone Creamery, Sue was having withdrawal symptoms!<\/p>\n

We rested for an hour and then headed to Malarkey’s to watch the sunset and have a cocktail with Irene.<\/p>\n

A beautiful evening it was<\/p><\/div>\n

We watched the original “The Santa Clause” on the Disney Channel tonight before crashing!\u00a0 “The Santa Clause” isn’t laugh out loud, roll on the floor comedy; it isn’t old-fashioned “It’s a Wonderful Life,” romance. Nope. It’s an original ’90s style Christmas story that tugs at your heartstrings and reminds you that we were all kids once. It reminds you of those days when you dreamt of Santa… when you stood in line waiting to sit on the jolly elf’s lap… your knees shaking… as you tried to memorize what you were going to ask Santa. Anyone who isn’t touched by this movie should look for the little boy or girl inside, and remember the Christmas Eves when you listened for the clatter of reindeer hooves on the roof. If you have no such memories, you may not understand this movie. Thumbs up to Tim Allen and Judge Reinhold! Thanks for the happy tears!<\/p>\n
