The Thanksgiving holiday brings Americans of all races and religions together to fight over discounted electronics.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The watering can seemed appropriate on a soon-to-be rainy day!<\/p><\/div>\n

OMG, It is 45 degrees outside or as Mom would have said, “Colder than a Well Digger’s butt.”\u00a0 She was colorful that way! According to the “weather guesser” (sometimes referred too as the weatherman), the sky will cloud up starting about 5:00 PM today and then rain for the next two days!\u00a0 I hope Old Ranch has waterproof turkeys!<\/p>\n

Waterproofing was the order of the day as the forecast says 2-3 inches along the beach, and that’s where we are!\u00a0 We even got our own newspaper story which we posted below:<\/p>\n

Around noon I headed for the dentist as I lost a crown, and he proceeded to glue it back in.<\/p>\n

Sue was ready to go when I returned home, and we headed for Chinese, Panda Inn, our favorite.\u00a0 We had a wonderful lunch, and I tried the Panda In Trio, spicy shrimp, beef, and chicken in a fiery hot sauce!<\/p>\n

Yummy with a capital “Yum.”<\/p><\/div>\n

We departed as the sky was beginning to change, and one could smell storm in the air.\u00a0 I dropped Sue off at home, and I did some errands before it got dark.<\/p>\n

Over to Old Ranch in the Silver Ghost to make a final reservation for Thanksgiving.\u00a0 We have eighteen folks joining us for an afternoon celebration of this magnificent country of ours!<\/p>\n

Right around the corner is CVS, and I stopped to look at the prescriptions the doctor sent in after the surgery.\u00a0 Well, I did not pick up any of them as Sue is sturdy and did need the little buggers!\u00a0 One last stop was needed; Ralph’s, where Nestle’s is still disappointing us!\u00a0 Tollhouse tookies are not on the shelves, and this has been three weeks!<\/p>\n

The Kingfish would often say, “I is gettin regusted about this sitiasian.”\u00a0 We want out tookies back on the shelves, and we want it now!<\/p><\/div>\n

As I was changing into my TV watching close the phone, she rang.\u00a0 Ring! Ring! Ring!\u00a0 Without a doubt, another telemarketer so the ignore-button automatically got pushed.\u00a0 The, like magic, a voice on the recorder came on.\u00a0 I knew the voice instantly, and it was Olivia Gillick.<\/p>\n

We had not talked in probably fifteen years, maybe more.\u00a0 Last time we saw Olivia was at Thanksgiving they year Marion, her mother, passed and that had to be thirty-one years ago. Her son, David, named after me, is now thirty-one!\u00a0 David, you ask?\u00a0 My name is Paul David and around the house, at school, and all of my family called me “David” since dad was Paul and two, Paul’s was confusing!<\/p>\n

We talked for 35 minutes.\u00a0 Olivia had called to see if I have a phone number for Aunt Kaye, they were close, and since Kaye moved into a care facility, her phone no longer works!<\/p>\n

We grew up together on Comey Avenue in Los Angeles<\/p><\/div>\n

We watched NCIS Los Angeles using our CBS Now subscription.\u00a0 The service is neat as it keeps track of the shows we have observed, shows us all the episodes we have yet to see, and does it without pesky advertisements.<\/p>\n
