Dang… I slept until almost 9:00 AM…felt pretty good. Our kids, Pete & Lisa, gave us a 500 piece puzzle for Christmas and we think it has been 30+ years since we did a puzzle. Sue’s Mom and my Aunts always had a puzzle going in their homes. I did add a few pieces here and there but never got “into it”. Well, this puzzle hit our dining room table and we work at it a little each day! So, “Thanks” Pete & Lisa for the frustration raising exercise! No, seriously, it is kinda fun to attack a small piece every day,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s coming together…slowly…another week is needed!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Since we got up late, I decided I would walk after lunch! We did our new brocholi-cheese soup and I swear, it’s get better every day! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After lunch I took my daily stroll. Today I had a purpose…to Bank Of America. Dang property taxes and last installment of income taxes are due and it coincides with having to take money form the IRA so I did both. The “money lady” transferred funds to our trust checking account and I in-turn transferred it to Bank Of America. Now with some liquid bravery (strong shot of anything) I will nervelessly write the checks and hum the “death march” as I go to the mail box! Yeah, the flaming government want s their tax money but why do they force me to take what I have saved out and tax it…damned government!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a delightful day and and and hour and a half was perfect timing as I suggested to ny bride that we go down to Seal Beach and walk…we did. We needed Spicy Salt” from the Temecula Salt Company. We enthusiastically entered the shop…announced what we needed…and was me with a thud. “I’m sorry we are totally out of that!”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We said “No problem, we will drive to Temecula tomorrow and get it…the response was “Our whole company is out of it but you can have our samples to get you by!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We continued shopping!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We were disappointed but we have her our card and she will call as soon as it comes in…we told her to put away six bottles!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now what? Well, there is an ocean and a pier so time to walk! We walked down Main Street to the end of the pier and back so we covered aout a mile plus some change!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While walking we hear a noise int he background and it was two power kites with people doing their thing. Sue looked like fun! Take a look!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were close to Patty’s Place when we returned to the car so we headed in that direction. The happy hour food was on sale So I did the jalape\u00f1o poppers and a G&T. Sue settled for a glass of wine. We talked to Chuck and thanked him for the Christmas surprise package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

we watched President Trump’s speech and were right with him. I really tried to watch the dumocrats but they are so full of crap, I had to turn it off or risk damage to the TV set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that we were homeword bound settling in for a long winters stare at the boob tube. It was Lucifer, Eureka, and Mrs Maisel. BY 11:00 we were beat and time to head to the showers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
