We are scheduled to board the Hawaiian Chieftan at 14:00 and sail for about three hours plundering the harbor for treasure and a load of laughs! Hawaiian Chieftain is the name of a sailing vessel briefly known as  \t\tthe Spirit of Clarinda. Built in 1988 in Lahaina on the island of Maui,  \t\tthe <a href=\"\/tall_ships\/ships\/index.htm\">Hawaiian Chieftain<\/a> is a contemporary interpretation of a traditional  \t\tdesign. She is unique with the rig of an 19th century trading vessel and  \t\ta modern triple keel, shallow draft hull. Drawing only 5.5 feet (1.7 m),  \t\tshe is highly maneuverable in shallow waters.
