Never Thought Of It Before!\u00a0 Why are there so many old people in Church? They’re cramming for the final<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

You guessed it, time to walk.\u00a0 I made it all the way to Ralph’s and back and it was excellent…the weather seems to be cooling down.\u00a0 On the way home, the telly rang and I picked it up (OK, touched the iPhone) and it was Brian…not from across the pond but on this side of the pond!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We had a small lunch and then got cleaned up so we could do some errands.\u00a0 We jumped in the car and headed down Katella!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

First stop, the shoe repair as my tennis shoes needed fixin’…the “open toe” or “flat tire” I had two days ago.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

So happy to have them back home!<\/figcaption>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Then to the eye doctors…about two months ago Sue got new glasses and we forgot to pick them up.\u00a0 She got light and dark glasses so she is ready to go.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Returning home we went to the jewelry store where Sue wanted to get some matching ear rings and a necklace cleaned…the silver “sparkled like a dime in a goats behind” (an old saying from aerospace days).<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Did You Know?\u00a0To say: “Shines like a diamond in a goat’s ass” is to provide high praise for something or someone. A harsh term, it is often used by men in the working trades. A star baseball player on a mediocre team could be said to “shine like a diamond in a goat’s ass.” Often, the phrase is used as a compliment for a really nice car or motorcycle. Ironically, it would not be appropriate to compliment a diamond ring or other jewelry with this phrase.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n

After reaching home, we watched some TV, I took a short nap, and then off to Garden Grove for dancing. We were tickled to see the Finch’s and they were happy to be here.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

To prove we were her I tried the selfie…it’s obvious I need longer arms!<\/p>\r\n
