The truth be spoke!<\/p><\/div>\n

OK, it is NOT the 15th but we have work to do to be able to pay the taxes\u00a0 We were surprised when the taxes were done and we own more than we thought… a lot more.\u00a0 Apparently our investments under President Trump increased our income by 60% so we have to dig up some cash to donate back!\u00a0 Paul spent the morning with the financial advisor to figure out what to do!<\/p>\n

After breakfast, Paul worked in the yard for a couple of hours cleaning up under and fertilizing the tree farm on the south side of the house.\u00a0 Two figs, an apple, an avocado, and a nectarine are now happy campers.\u00a0 Their ground was raked, new mulch was distributed, and they got a tiny haircut!\u00a0 Paul also cleaned up the blue berries and are getting ready to put them under netting so we do not feed the neighborhood birds!<\/p>\n

Random Memories: While gardening Paul thought about the taxes and remembers back to his first job (while in college) worked as a technician in a ham radio store. $2.19\/hour was big money in those days!\u00a0 Paul had to for taxes but it was on a single piece of paper.\u00a0 Today, not so much!\u00a0 We pay our accountant $500 to prepare all the silly paperwork and then she submits it all electronically.\u00a0 We get a folder 3\/4 inches think with every form kown to man… into the file cabinet it goes for three years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Things were simpler in the 1960’s (like the tax form)<\/p><\/div>\n

In the last afternoon we watched some TV and rested before getting cleaned up and heading for the Starlighter’s Board Meeting at Bob and Donna’s in Santa Ana. As we drove up to their house, the sun was just setting and it was magnificent!<\/p>\n

Looked like a golden sunset had just occurred!<\/p><\/div>\n

We got there at 7:00 PM and did our business before parting at 9:15 PM for home.\u00a0 Business was conducted and we shared with our friends.\u00a0 Iris apparently broke her arm after tripping on a stair.\u00a0 She is 90+ and is amazing but right now, she is NOT a happy camper!<\/p>\n
