Great day today! Sue was up at 7:00 AM ready to go and it seems like the ulcer issues are starting to subside as she had little complaints about the tummy.\u00a0 Paul fixed scrambled eggs using egg beaters and threw in asparagus, cheese, red bell pepper, mushrooms, and some green onions right out of our garden!<\/p>\n
<\/a>Paul must think about dying his mustache black!<\/p><\/div>\n
Most of the morning was spent doing simple chores around the house and Sue felt good enough to go for a drive so we went to the local wine store and got a case of St, Regis Chardonnay.<\/p>\n

We then went to Ralph’s market and to Staples (where Paul is now quite well known).\u00a0 After getting home, Paul did a consolidation of our vitamins and supplements.\u00a0 Getting everything organized in the house revealed we had three stashes of vitamins so they are now in two large plastic containers, one for Paul and one for Sue.\u00a0 If you know and squeaky fish, let us know… We found 2000 fish oil capsules between the three stashes!!<\/p>\n
It’s 1:00 PM and Sue took a nap since she had been up since 7:00 AM.\u00a0 Paul attacked the old TV and component rack in the living room.\u00a0 He has been wanting to do this for years nad years!<\/p>\n
The old component rack and TV\u00a0 was next to our 80″ flat screen and looked pretty silly!\u00a0 We finally got rid of our 29 year old Magnavox 28″ High Resolution TV (It was called S-Video in the day)…\u00a0 You know, the lable on the back said manufactured in February 1989!\u00a0 It still works quite well to this day but 28″?\u00a0 The power consumption on the back label also said 140W.\u00a0 It was a boat anchor!<\/p>\n
We also got rid of three CD\/DVD players, a 400 CD changer, a 250W AM\/FM\/Stereo Onyko receiver, a video-tape to DVD converter box, and an 8-track dual deck player\/transfer unit!<\/p>\n
The big deal was the solid walnut TV cabinet that held all this stuff!\u00a0 Paul moved all of it to the front year and posted a sign, “IT WORKS”.\u00a0 The cabinet must have weighed 300 pounds and it was a fight to get it out of the house, down two small stairs, and into the yard!<\/p>\n
<\/a>It was still working fine after 29 years but the 28″ screen and “Low Definition” was no loner needed<\/p><\/div>\n
The front room really looks nice now!\u00a0 The big screen is by itself and is truly the center of attention!<\/p>\n
Paul tried to fix quesadillas for dinner. A quesadilla is a tortilla, usually a flour tortilla but also sometimes made with a corn tortilla, which is filled with cheese and then grilled. Other items, such as a savory mixture of spices or vegetables, are often added, then they are cooked on a griddle. It worked out pretty well but the second time, tomorrow, will be the charm!\u00a0 Paul never realized how much cheese reduces in size when cooked in a quesadilla so it was a tad flat!<\/p>\n
So two days ago, Paul used the 8″ knife to try to loosen some frozen tomato sauce and heard a “snap”… Yes, he broke the tip off Sue’s favorite knife!\u00a0 Without a word, Paul headed for the computer and ordered a new replacement form the same manufacturer.\u00a0 It arrived today and he found out how sharp a knife can be! Oops!<\/p>\n

We watched a new Hallmark movie about cooking entitled “Cooking With Love”. Summary: Optimistic and cheerful TV producer, Kelly, doesn\u2019t have time for love. Bad boy celebrity chef, Stephen, doesn\u2019t have time for anything besides cooking. Fun with a side of love ensues as Kelly and Stephen are paired on a children’s cooking show…. It was a super movie.<\/p>\n
<\/a>Great movie and love the acting!<\/p><\/div>\n
