{"id":28651,"date":"2018-01-27T23:42:57","date_gmt":"2018-01-28T06:42:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/?p=28651"},"modified":"2018-01-29T14:34:51","modified_gmt":"2018-01-29T21:34:51","slug":"da-weekend-be-here","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/?p=28651","title":{"rendered":"Da Weekend Be Here"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The weekend is upon us and Paul has more chores to do.\u00a0 Sue is again resting\/sleeping so Paul gets to attack the jobs that need doing.\u00a0 Today he trimmed the trees along the side year as the figs are dormant and do not mind getting some major branch reductions.<\/p>\n<p>Even though our neighbors are quite liberal, Paul still takes in their trash cans when they are not home (he hates to see the wife dragging them in and the the kids, when they are home, never do).\u00a0 Today he took them in so he could see what the fig tree looked like from their side of the yard.<\/p>\n<p>Then off to the Home Depot so get some small indoor pots and some strawberries.\u00a0 We had many of our indoor plants so root-bound they could not even take any water! <span class=\"_Tgc _s8w _y9e\">As plants grown in containers mature, their developing <b>roots<\/b> eventually will run out of space. When this happens, the plant becomes \u201c<b>root<\/b>&#8211;<b>bound<\/b>\u201d. The <b>roots<\/b> will try to escape out any drain holes in the pots.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The plants were removed from their original containers, in some cases split into two plants and in each case they got a &#8220;root-cut&#8221;.\u00a0 Gently removing\u00a0 the roots which were so close together they formed an impenetrable barrier to water!\u00a0 They are all nice and happy in their new pots.<\/p>\n<p>Paul also attacked the wrapping paper in the closet condensing five shopping bags down into a single plastic container 12x12x18!<\/p>\n<p>We were supposed to go to the Cerritos Performing Arts Center but Sue was not up to it so we called Amy and Joe&#8230;\u00a0 They got to sit in row three center amongst 2,000 screaming &#8220;grey hairs&#8221;.\u00a0 Doo-Wop forever!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_28663\" style=\"width: 460px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/01\/screenshot_63.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-28663\" class=\"size-large wp-image-28663\" src=\"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/01\/screenshot_63-450x309.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"309\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/01\/screenshot_63-450x309.png 450w, https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/01\/screenshot_63-150x103.png 150w, https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/01\/screenshot_63-300x206.png 300w, https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/01\/screenshot_63-768x527.png 768w, https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/01\/screenshot_63.png 1052w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-28663\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Joe and Amy hanging out with the grey hairs!<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Paul cooked up quite a dinner but alas, Sue just picked at it as she is not hungry!
