Sunday morning and Paul was up and at them. We listen to the Jesus Christ show on KFI, which is excellent, and then The House Whisperer<\/strong>, also on KFI. Today’s subject was “the bathroom” and even after 70+ years on this planet, Paul learned a lot about bathroom he did not know. \u00a0We are planning to remodel Paul’s bathroom and the idea of a new open shower (no step) is appealing.<\/p>\n

The walk occurred at 9:30 Am this morning and Paul did his customary two plus miles and 2 miles an hour… Not too bad for an old man!<\/p>\n

Time for a walk!<\/p><\/div>\n

The walk always reveals some beautiful flowers and today was no exception. \u00a0The roses seemed to want to jump out and be taken home!<\/p>\n

We goofed off the rest of the afternoon until about 4:00 PM at which time we got cleaned up and headed to Park Avenue Steakhouse in Stanton to pickup a wedding gift (gift certificate) for our friends who are taking the next step. \u00a0They are both in their 40’s or early 50’s and they do not need “stuff” so Sue suggested a gift certificate to their favorite restaurant.<\/p>\n

Wonderful steaks and chops located on Beach just west of Katella<\/p><\/div>\n

We of course sat at the bar and had a nice drink! \u00a0Then, to the next destination.<\/p>\n

Wonderful bar with fantastic music and decor of the 1950’s! Super bartender!<\/p><\/div>\n

Chef, at That’s Amore, loves figs and the tiny spoon tomatoes so we picked a big bad of fruit, plus some peppers and other goodies and packed them so we could drop them by the restaurant. \u00a0He was happy as a clam! \u00a0He is quite Italian so we do not know what he said but his eyes spoke happiness. \u00a0Of Course, we had a drink!<\/p>\n

Like dinner at home…<\/p><\/div>\n

Well, it is 7:00 PM and what should we do… We know, DISNEYLAND! \u00a0Yup, we saddled up and headed for Downtown Disney and went to Catal for a drink and then sat on their patio until 10:00 PM and watched the fireworks.<\/p>\n

Before the excitement starts it is a pretty view<\/p><\/div>\n

The patio is probably 200+ feet long<\/p><\/div>\n

Of course, a stop at the Uva Bar and see Papa Rene was needed<\/p><\/div>\n

It’s 11:00 PM and time for the bar hoppers to go home. \u00a0Paul was the DD (designated driver) this evening as he always is so his last several drinks were diet coke or tonic water, sans the gin! \u00a0Better safe than sorry!<\/p>\n

We watched two Frasier episodes and crashed! \u00a0We must be Party Animals!<\/p>\n
