First things first… Off to Cerritos Performing Arts Center to buy this years tickets for their performances.\u00a0 $9,000 and we were done.\u00a0 Now we wait until late July to get the tickets and distribute to our friends.<\/p>\n

While returning home, we called the GG Elks to assure our associate membership was renewed and it was not!\u00a0 We headed to GG to visit the office and take care of that issue.\u00a0 While we were there we had lunch at the Elks.\u00a0 Sue did their Cream of Potato soup while Paul did “The Californian” beef dip sandwich!\u00a0 Excellent food and good friends.<\/p>\n

After returning home Paul worked in the garden getting the old corn back into shape and picking some tomatoes.<\/p>\n

Around 4:45 PM we headed to Old Ranch to await the grand kids arrival but alas, they got busy with life! We stayed until about 5:45 PM and then went to Kobe for some sushi surprises.\u00a0 Many, the sushi chef, knows Paul well and fixes him SMALL portions of the sashimi\/sushi.\u00a0 That way Paul can try many things and not get stuffed.<\/p>\n

At 6:00 PM we returned to Old Ranch to make sure our friends were OK.<\/p>\n

We are going to loose Ernie in the next few days as her Pulmonary Fibrosis had taken over the lung and she cannot breath anymore.\u00a0 She was tired of living that way.\u00a0 The plug will be pulled tomorrow morning with the family in attendance and Bunny, Dave O, Terri,\u00a0 among others, were pretty sad. RIP Ernie (1936-2017), you had a good run!<\/p>\n

Did You Know: Pulmonary fibrosis occurs when lung tissue becomes scarred or damaged. The stiff, thickened tissue obstructs the free passage of oxygen through the walls of the lungs\u2019 tiny air sacs (alveoli) into the bloodstream. As the disease progresses, patients with pulmonary fibrosis feel more short of breath over time. After an early diagnosis, it is generally fatal in 3-5 years.<\/span><\/p>\n
