We had to plant another apple tree in the back yard as this one often gets picked clean!<\/p>\n

The rototiller did an excellent job of loosening the soil around the tree and allowing the fertilizer to be applied! Beats digging around the base by hand!<\/p>\n

We got cleaned up and then headed to Cerritos Performing Arts Center to see the Tex Beneke tribute to The Glenn Miller Band.\u00a0 What a terrific show!<\/p>\n
Did You Know? Gordon Lee “Tex” Beneke<\/b> (February 12, 1914 \u2013 May 30, 2000) was an American saxophonist, singer, and bandleader. His career is a history of associations with bandleader Glenn Miller and former musicians and singers who worked with Miller. His band is also associated with the careers of Eydie Gorme, Henry Mancini and Ronnie Deauville. Beneke also solos on the recording the Glenn Miller Orchestra made of their popular song “In The Mood” and sings on another popular Glenn <\/span>Miller<\/span> recording, “Chattanooga Choo Choo”.
