Rain rain and more rain… It rained the entire day.\u00a0 We got about three inches of rain as the pool was lowered three inches and by the end of the evening it was overflowing!\u00a0 We watched a silly movie when Sue did the treadmill and finally we got “cabin fever” so bad we had to leave.<\/p>\n

Cabin fever is an idiomatic term for a claustrophobic reaction that takes place when a person or group ends up in an isolated or solitary location, or stuck indoors in confined quarters for an extended period. Cabin fever describes the extreme irritability and restlessness a person may feel in these situations.\u00a0 Cabin fever is also associated with boredom.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

A person may experience cabin fever in a situation such as being in a simple country vacation cottage. When experiencing cabin fever, a person may tend to sleep, to have a distrust of anyone they are with or to have an urge to go outside even in the rain, snow, dark or hail. The phrase is also used humorously to indicate simple boredom from being home alone.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

We got cleaned up and headed for Old Ranch.\u00a0 When we got there it was empty so we ordered soup and a sandwich and all of a sudden the Long Beach State Soccer Team showed up and it got noisy. We escaped to the fireplace and continued our glass of wine.<\/p>\n
