Old Ranch is closed today as they must clean-up after the 4th of July celebration.\u00a0 We did chores around the house and Paul worked in the garden filling two 100 pound containers with garden remains!\u00a0 In the afternoon, we went to the new restaurant called Ballast Point (where Khoury’s used to be).\u00a0 For us it was a disaster.\u00a0 If was full of millennials,\u00a0 it was noisy, the food had to be ordered from a line at the bar – no waitstaff, and the place was sterile!\u00a0 We stayed five minutes and got up and left!<\/p>\n

We walked down to Malarkey’s and had a nice leisurely glass of wine, visited with the wait staff, and watched the boats in the bay to the sounds of Frank Sinatra!\u00a0 Malarkey’s is our kind of place.\u00a0 Note that Malarkey’s does have its wild side but those are days where we do not show up!<\/p>\n

Off to home?\u00a0 We think not!\u00a0 We went to Seal Beach Main Street and drove up just to see what was happening.\u00a0 MIRACLE TIME!\u00a0 Two parking spaces in front of Cafe St. Germain were open!\u00a0 Of course we stopped and went in.\u00a0 The daily wine selections were on the chalk board so we tried one and it was wonderful.\u00a0 We did two Tapas, both vegetarian, and they were fantastic!\u00a0 We also ran into James Eaton who was sitting at the bar enjoying a quiet afternoon!<\/p>\n

While there, Paul went next door to the Apple Store (MacFusion) and bought a network extender.<\/p>\n
