We have a full day ahead so Paul started with the treadmill while Sue made a fantastic breakfast!\u00a0 Sue is a Kitchen Magician!\u00a0 Anything she touches turns to gold!<\/p>\n

We did a few chores and then got ready to go to the Roosters Wine Tasting event at Old Ranch.\u00a0 We met up with Kathy and Ed plus Cyndy and Bill for an afternoon of tasting wines and nibbling on culinary delights. Oh… We did a lot of laughing and giggling!!<\/p>\n

Who are the Roosters You Might Ask?<\/strong> Each year, the Roosters raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for disadvantaged children. This is the\u00a0 37th year that the Roosters have been active in philanthropy and outstanding community service. Over the years the Roosters have been recognized by the news media, the Orange County Board of Supervisors, the State of California and the United States Congress the Roosters as one of the foremost men\u2019s charitable organizations in the United States. Each year the Roosters Foundation Food Drive feeds over 5,000 families with needy and at-risk children representing 40,000 people living below the poverty line in Orange County.<\/p>\n

Ed was appointed the official “Wine Scout”… We sent him away and he always came back with a recommendation and directions!\u00a0 This makes wine tasting easy on us!<\/p>\n

Kathy and Ed always make for an enjoyable event!<\/p><\/div>\n

We were under a tent this year and it worked out quite well.\u00a0 No one was on the golf course for some reason!\u00a0 Next time we might have to play nine holes.<\/p>\n

Oh… There is wine involved???<\/p><\/div>\n

Toward the end of the day, the number of people increased (or they got louder) so we decided to use our membership at ORCC and go to the members side of the country club… Mucho quieter!<\/p>\n

We went to the members side after a while to get away from the noise<\/p><\/div>\n

Bill and Cyndy joined us this time and it was fun to have the kids around…. Kids??\u00a0 Well, compared to us!\u00a0 We laughed and giggled for another hour before breaking up and heading to the next activity.<\/p>\n

Cyndy and Bill joined the fun… Bob and Donna were in Palm Springs<\/p><\/div>\n

Life is tough on grapes!<\/p><\/div>\n

After another glass of the vino we went VFR to visit Flower before heading to the Garden Grove Elks for an evening of dancing with the Branders and other friends.<\/p>\n

It was a warm evening… The moon was bright and the dancing was good!<\/p><\/div>\n

At about 9:30 we had had all the noise pollution we could stand and there decided it was time to go home! We watched some TV and then crashed!\u00a0 Great day and great fun!\u00a0 What will tomorrow bring???\u00a0 We wonder!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
