Nothing would be more tiresome than eating and drinking if God had not made them a pleasure as well as a necessity.\u00a0 ~Voltaire<\/strong><\/p>\n

What? No golf?\u00a0 Yes, no golf! We stayed at home and worked!\u00a0 Work! Eek!\u00a0 Paul worked outside in the garden completing most of the summer planting… We are still missing some tomatoes but the garden it ready for them.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Sue worked magic in the kitchen with the freshly pulled cauliflower and other veggies Paul found in the garden.\u00a0 She made cauliflower steaks and put some of our homemade tomato sauce on them!\u00a0 Wow!\u00a0 GREAT way to start a day!<\/p>\n

The starting point begins with raw cauliflower<\/p><\/div>\n

The cauliflower is now browned in the pan creating a great “steak”.<\/p>\n

Brown the “steaks” and watch them caramelize<\/p><\/div>\n

The steaks go into a pan for additional work<\/p>\n

Ready to eat after some additional ingredients<\/p><\/div>\n

Some of the steaks we eat directly and some Sue “doctors up” with great sauces… Yummy!\u00a0 Healthy!!<\/p>\n

Sue added tomato sauce with olives and parsely!<\/p><\/div>\n

We met James and Linda at Old Ranch at 4:00 for some serious Happy Hour and then headed to Garden Grove Elks for dancing with Dave Ambrose!<\/p>\n

The quake struck at approximately 9:09 p.m. Friday night, according to the United States Geological Survey. It was centered 1 mile east of La Habra at a depth of 4.6 miles.The earthquake resulted in isolated power outages and damages that included ruptured water mains.\u00a0 Some homes in Fullerton sustained structural damages, including one that was visibly blocked off by caution tape and deemed to be \u201cuninhabitable\u201d as of Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

The temblor was preceded by two fore-shocks, the largest of which was a 3.6-magnitude earthquake at 8:03 p.m., according to the USGS.\u00a0 Nearly 30 aftershocks were reported in the hour following the quake, according to the Southern California Seismic Network.<\/p>\n
