There will never be music like that again. The songs were 75 years old and going strong. We both felt like we were back in high school! I graduated from high school in 1962, while Mary graduated in 1969. It was released in 1958 and became one of their signature songs. I was in junior high, and Mary was only six!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2026\/09\/RockRollIsHereToStay.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Back to work!  Mary wrangled the bills while I went toe-to-toe with the computer goblins!  I now have both iMacs on my desk, and they actually talk to each other!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The website has officially been haunted\u2014I mean configured\u2014for <a href=\"\/halloween\/index.htm\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"\/halloween\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Halloween<\/a> and is now ready to receive all your spooky Halloween images! Apparently it\u2019s supposed to rain Sunday?! With fifteen people coming, we can easily move the festivities indoors\u2014because nothing says \u201cparty\u201d like casually pretending we planned it that way all along. Robin is coming over to provide assistance, moral support, and possibly help us stare at the sky with concern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At 3:00 pm, we headed for the showers to get ready for a 4:45 pm departure to Franco&#8217;s Italian Restaurant and a pre-show dining extravaganza. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Franco\u2019s was, as expected, absolutely wonderful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unfortunately, at the next table were two families whose small children had apparently been raised by wolves, air horns, and Red Bull. There was yelling, shrieking, running, table-to-table chaos \u2014 the kind of behavior that makes you wonder if the parents had entered the restaurant under witness protection and were hoping not to be identified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Honestly, I was less shocked by the kids than by the parental \u201csupervision,\u201d which appeared to consist mainly of staring into the middle distance and pretending the circus belonged to someone else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And people wonder why society is full of irresponsible adults. In my day, if I had behaved like that in public, my parents would have removed me from the restaurant so fast I\u2019d have left a cartoon-shaped hole in the door. At the very least, I\u2019d still be writing apology notes to the waiter. It was completely overwhelmed \u2014 much like the audience\u2019s knees during the fast songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These guys really did have black hair! The show went on for two solid hours, and all the old folks in the audience were bee-bopping along like it was 1964 again\u2026 just with more sensible shoes and a few extra hip replacements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video aligncenter\"><video height=\"422\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 750 \/ 422;\" width=\"750\" controls src=\"https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2026\/09\/2026-09-04-006-rediced.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unlike other Beatles tribute acts, &#8220;1964&#8221; concentrates on only the &#8220;touring years&#8221; of the Beatles. Since this period is one of the most well-documented(pictures, films, and eyewitness accounts) in the Beatles&#8217; career, there is much to compare. &#8220;1964&#8221; has accomplished what many other acts could only dream of: An astonishingly accurate re-creation of the energy and the magic of those touring years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over three decades\u00a0of researching and performing have made &#8220;1964&#8221; masters of their craft. They are hailed by critics and fans alike as the most authentic and endearing Beatles tribute show in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We escaped at 10:00 pm and headed the Silver Fox down the 91 towards home arriving at 10:21 pm, just in time to crash!
