She’ll remain in custody for one week before being released into the general population of the house.\u00a0 Until then, all humans must exercise extreme caution when entering or exiting the premises, as this tiny criminal may attempt another daring escape.<\/p>\n

Please stay alert.\u00a0 The little dickens is crafty, quick, and clearly has outside connections.<\/p>\n

I did a brain reset after yesterday’s fight with the computer, so all is back to “normal”.\u00a0 I shall continue to deal with my mini-frustrations and plan to get up, walk away when things go south!<\/p>\n

A busy morning, indeed.<\/p>\n

Mary took off to pick up Dianne and escort her to the hospital for eye surgery, while I remained behind to prepare for my own high-stakes medical drama: a trip to Newport to have my hearing aid repaired.<\/p>\n

Before leaving, I wrapped up the 5th anniversary celebration, visited the cat, consulted with the pool man, and then bravely headed south toward Newport\u2014because apparently my calendar had decided I was running a small resort and medical shuttle service.<\/p>\n

My hearing aid appointment lasted 15 minutes.\u00a0 Roughly 14\u00bd of those minutes were spent chatting with the hearing specialist, because the”major technical malfunction” turned out to be earwax near the speaker.\u00a0 Thirty seconds after I sat down, she had everything working again.\u00a0 Basically, I drove to Newport for a professional Q-tip and a conversation.<\/p>\n

At 1:00 pm., we all reconvened at Filomena’s Italian Deli near the OC Fair, where the food is absolutely OUTSTANDING.\u00a0 Dianne celebrated post-hospital with fried calamari seasoned with Parmesan and parsley, served with house-made Arrabiata sauce.\u00a0 Mary went with Italian Wedding Soup, proving once agaishe’s\u2019s the sensible one.\u00a0 I took the”no wrong answers” route and ordered sausage and peppers over angel hair pasta.<\/p>\n

Mary and I shared a bottle of Chardonnay, because after a morning of eye surgery, hearing aid archaeology, cat visitation, and pool management, hydration was important.<\/p>\n
