A quick look at the calendar revealed today was May 1st, Mayday!\u00a0 The tradition began about 2,000 years ago.\u00a0 The significance of the maypole dance is to celebrate or encourage fertility.\u00a0 The tree or pole can be considered a phallic or masculine symbol, while the flowers and ribbons can be considered beautiful and feminine symbols.\u00a0 The dance represents physical health.<\/p>\n
I am seriously considering putting up a maypole in the front yard, but somehow, I think the boss will veto my brilliant idea!<\/p>\n

I vividly remember the Maypole at Shenandoah Elementary School in the 1950s!<\/p><\/div>\n
Thursday was also fairly busy.\u00a0 We were up and moving early and did some chores around the house.\u00a0 We’re ready to go to Girls’ Night Out, and on the way, we stopped by CVS, our home away from home.<\/p>\n
