We enjoy our morning coffee!<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary was up before me, as I had a severe coughing fit last night and finally fell asleep around 4:00 am.\u00a0 We had nothing planned today so we took it easy.<\/p>\n

Mary attacked her roses and came into the house with four vases full of magnificent roses.\u00a0 Scout provided adult supervision while watching out for elephants!<\/p>\n

Scout assumed the position, making sure the yard was safe for us.<\/p><\/div>\n

I got up and mainly helped retrieve gardening tools and do some trimming using the power trimmer.\u00a0 The rest of the time, I helped Scout supervise!<\/p>\n

We got a text from Amy, our daughter-in-law, and she, her mom, and dad will be joining us for Mother’s Day at the Elks Lodge!\u00a0 We will have almost twenty people for the celebration!<\/p>\n

Mary turned her clippings into impressive displays, and the entire house smelled of roses.<\/p>\n

Mary added some flowers to those brought by Bonnie this week.<\/p><\/div>\n

The roses were simply magnificent!<\/p>\n

They were brighter red than a fire engine!!<\/p><\/div>\n

After picking the roses, Mary began cooking up a batch of beans, my favorite.\u00a0 The beans were cooked all afternoon.<\/p>\n

In the mid-afternoon, we got a call from Bob and Robion.\u00a0 They were at Disneyland and decided to drop by for a visit, which we always enjoy.\u00a0 We sat on the patio and drank some champagne.\u00a0 We retold stories and relived the walk in the rainstorm yesterday!<\/p>\n

They stayed for a couple of hours,\u00a0 and on their way home, Mary gave them her Butter Rose display.\u00a0 I think the proper name was Julia Child.\u00a0 The flowers were butter colored!<\/p>\n

These will last a week!<\/p><\/div>\n

We took some beans over to Jeff and visited for a while, leaving him with dinner for tonight and tomorrow!<\/p>\n

Returning home, we watched TV until around 9:00 pm.\u00a0 \u00a0I did my breathing activity before crashing (or attempting to crash).\u00a0 This was another night of coughing, so I got up, read the news, and visited quora.com until around 3:30. Then I dropped off to sleep until 7:30 am.<\/p>\n
