We had no idea when the day started that we would be on the road most of the day.<\/p>\n

We walked the garden and observed the artichokes, which are coming along just fine. It appears the steel mesh is doing its job against the wabbits, as we have no additional damage.<\/p>\n

They are getting bigger every day!<\/p><\/div>\n

It is Monday, which means it is time to get the bones crushed and muscles torn from the bone at the local physical fitness establishment. Everyone was easy on me today! Mary went through her exercises like a Union General going through the South!<\/p>\n

One-armed, no less! The machine creaked and moaned as Mary pulled the strings.<\/p><\/div>\n

On the other hand, I did many situps and other chest-related exercises to see if I could solve the mystery of the tight chest and breathing.\u00a0 Alas, the only advice I got was to go get into the pulmonologist easy instead of waiting until Thursday,<\/p>\n

Antony runs us through the exercises, encouraging me along the way!<\/p><\/div>\n

I did not think that “Up Fatso”\u00a0 and “Faster Lardbutt” was very encouraging!<\/p>\n

We went to CVS from the gym, got some meds, and then headed home.\u00a0 Using her best female voice, Mary somehow got us in to see Dr. ______, our pulmonologist.\u00a0 He is a terrific doctor, a genuine first-class guy!\u00a0 He was stumped because it was apparent I had shortness of breath, but I was pulling 2500 milliliters on the breathing machine, more than expected.\u00a0 The spiralizer test went just fine. I was well within my expected range, considering I smoked for twenty years.\u00a0 So, he suggested additional use of prednisone every other day for a few weeks to see if that helps.<\/p>\n

Prednisolone is a medicine used to treat a wide range of health problems, including allergies, blood disorders, skin diseases, inflammation, infections, and certain cancers. It is also used to prevent organ rejection after a transplant. Prednisolone helps by reducing swelling (inflammation) and can also calm down the immune system.<\/p>\n

From the doctor’s office, we high-tailed it to the dentist’s office so she could verify that the implants were still aligned and working fine. We saw her for ten minutes; all was “A-OK”! Now it is 4:30 p.m., and the freeways are HORRIBLE, so we decided to go to the American Legion on BAlboa Island, where we had dinner and a drink… or two.<\/p>\n

Since we had been at doctors’ offices all day, we thought some healthy food would be in order, so we ordered a baked potato, buffalo wings, a pizza, and chili.\u00a0 Mary also ordered a salad, but that came home with us.<\/p>\n

It’s time to eat at the American Legion.<\/p><\/div>\n

We did not have our chopsticks, so we had to suffer from the calories this evening. The chili and buffalo wings were perfect, though.<\/p>\n

Health food.<\/p><\/div>\n

It was a calm day on the water, so we took our time watching the boats go back and forth. The Commodore of the Yacht Club came in and recognized us from Christmas when he invited us to be on his board for the parade. I think another invite may be coming, but we will be in South America, darn!<\/p>\n

The day was magnificent.<\/p><\/div>\n

We decided to take the freeway home, which was not too bad.\u00a0 We stopped at Jeff’s and gave him his dessert, carrot cake!\u00a0 He was happy.<\/p>\n

We came home and watched two episodes of Everwood before crashing for the night!<\/p>\n
