7:00 am, and we are in the garden, but most of the time with flowers and other “gardening tasks”.\u00a0 Mary trimmed her roses, and I cleaned out the mosquito trap, which was easy.\u00a0 I took the trap to the garage and the driveway. I used the air compressor and sent the dead bugs on a 50-foot flight through the air! Poof!<\/p>\n
Mary was still trimming, and I looked at our 5×5 wooden gate and decided to replace it with white vinyl. That way, the rain will not bother it, and it will be lighter.<\/p>\n
At 11:00 am, we decided to embrace our inner synchronized swimmers and gracefully flop into the pool like a couple of confused mermaids.<\/p>\n
Scout provided adult supervision during this period and kept an eye out for those pesky elephants!<\/p>\n

“Hey…. Keep the noise down, huh?”<\/p><\/div>\n
I just made a “berry” important discovery in the garden today\u2014it turns out I’m a professional blackberry picker! I gathered so many blackberries that I think I deserve the title of “Berry Master.” It looks like we’ve got a new dessert option for lunch\u2014it’s berry delicious!<\/p>\n

Warm from the sun!<\/p><\/div>\n
While the gate people are here, we will get an estimate for putting up a patio on the front of the house behind the wall so we can enjoy watching the neighbors go back and forth. Plus, we’ll have front-row seats for the neighborhood drama\u2014it’s like our own reality show!<\/p>\n
Mary fixed a bodacious lunch, which was entirely too healthy!\u00a0 We fixed that because we had razzleberry pie for dessert!<\/p>\n

Watermelon, grapes, and berries, along with a salad from the garden (except for the hard cheese and artichoke hearts)<\/p><\/div>\n
At 2:30 p.m., we hit the pool again (it was our second time today), and to avoid turning into a pair of human lobsters, we sought shade! We floated, chatted, and tried not to sizzle under the sun for half an hour. It was a close call, but we emerged unburnt and maybe a little wrinkly.<\/p>\n
A little later, Doctor Mary removed the sutures and running stitches from my hand; it had been two weeks since the surgery.\u00a0 She used Steri-Strips on the wound and demanded that I lay on the couch and each bon bons every hour until 5:00 pm when we headed to the Segerstrom to see Peter Pan.\u00a0 (I thought Peter Pan was a bedpan for boys!)<\/p>\n
We have had the Broadway series at the Segerstrom since 1990 and the same seats for the past ten years.<\/p>\n

Before the play, we went to our favorite Indian restaurant, The Royal Khyber, in Costa Mesa. I have been going there for 35 years! They did some serious remodeling recently, and it was not the same fine dining experience I was used to\u2014rugs gone, tablecloths no longer, modern lighting, etc. The food and service were excellent, but the ambiance just lacked the “class” of the original.<\/p>\n
We got to the play about 30 minutes early and walked around before taking our seats.\u00a0 We were in row E on the left, and the seats were perfect.\u00a0 The play was outstanding and the music amazing.\u00a0 We gave this production an A+ and our seal of approval!<\/p>\n
We took Precious this evening. She had been “couped” up in the garage for a month and needed to stretch her legs!<\/p>\n

Precious got to go this evening!<\/p><\/div>\n
We were both tired, so there were no Aces this evening. We visited Scout, checked for Amazon deliveries, and crashed! It was a warm evening, so I opened the windows and fired up the whole house fan, and I’ll swear, up in the sky to the south and just under the moon, I saw Tink and the gang taking the redeye to Never Never Land!<\/p>\n
