{"id":80689,"date":"2024-06-24T22:42:33","date_gmt":"2024-06-25T05:42:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/?p=80689"},"modified":"2024-06-24T23:03:27","modified_gmt":"2024-06-25T06:03:27","slug":"the-week-begins-with-an-offfff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/?p=80689","title":{"rendered":"The week Begins With An &#8220;Offfff&#8221;!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s Monday, so get ready to experience one of my all-time favorite tunes!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Doris Day: Hoop-Dee-Doo\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1I5D8vNb-4o?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>5:00 am, and Alexa woke me up.\u00a0 I had a dermatologist appointment in Los Alamitos at 6:00 am.\u00a0 The freeways were empty, and I made it with time to spare.\u00a0 Dr. Newman carved me up taking four biopsies, and I will get the results on Wednesday!<\/p>\n<p>The sailing was great, and I made it back to Orange by 7:30 am, which gave us 45 minutes to visit the garden!<\/p>\n<p>As usual, we were bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. After the gym and returning home, we went out to patrol the garden. That dastardly rabbit was at it again, but we&#8217;ve got everything it fancies wrapped up tighter than a burrito in wire mesh, so no munching on our watch! The little critter even kindly left us a surprise gift, which we promptly planted in the dirt!<\/p>\n<p>The day was so hot, over 95 degrees, that Mary decided to stay inside with the air conditioning cranked up while I braved the heat to work in the garage. By the end of the day, I was sweating more than a glass of iced tea in July. I put the final rabbit fence around our cantaloupe \u2013 those sneaky rabbits won&#8217;t know what hit them!<\/p>\n<p>My beard is coming along OK now.\u00a0 Instead of Mary calling me &#8220;scruffy,&#8221; she now calls me &#8220;Gabby&#8221;!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-80695\" src=\"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2024\/06\/2024-06-24-009-650x852.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"852\" srcset=\"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2024\/06\/2024-06-24-009-650x852.jpg 650w, http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2024\/06\/2024-06-24-009-114x150.jpg 114w, http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2024\/06\/2024-06-24-009-768x1007.jpg 768w, http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2024\/06\/2024-06-24-009.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At dusk, I gave up and came inside and decided to make a trip to Home Depot to get some tiny screws to fix a July 4th decoration.\u00a0 On the way home, I got some burgers and fries and &#8220;cooked&#8221; dinner for Mary!<\/p>\n<p>After dinner, Mary picked some sun-gold tomatoes for Jeff, and we visited him for a while.
