\"\"It is Friday<\/p>\n

Friday has arrived, and that means torture time!\u00a0 Someone once said, \u201cThe real workout starts when you want to stop.<\/em>\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>I want to stop before I start.<\/p>\n

We went ahead anyway.\u00a0 We both rode the in-place bikes for twenty minutes, but the other members didn’t enjoy the fact that I placed a little rubber horn and a finger-operated ringer on the treadmill handles.\u00a0 Every five seconds, I would squeeze the bulb and announce my progress.\u00a0 Halfway through my ride, my little horn was ripped off the treadmill and tossed to the curb!\u00a0 I asked if they wanted me to play another tune.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Arriving home, I took the green barrels to the backyard while Mary made Egg McMommies, her rendition of the old McDonald’s standby breakfast.<\/p>\n

Chocked full of protein yet still fits into our diets.<\/p><\/div>\n

We both headed for the garden dressed in our gardening attire. Oh my, we looked like hobos!<\/p>\n

We planted the remaining few tomatoes and cleared out space for other veggies we need to get into the ground before our upcoming vacation!<\/p>\n

We told our neighbor, Jeff, we would bring him some tomatoes for his patio.\u00a0 Mid-afternoon, we visited him and brought back two of his pots using our two-wheeled wheelbarrow.<\/p>\n

Someone was VERY smart when they invented the two-wheeler! We have two,\u00a0 one for me and one for Mary!<\/p><\/div>\n

We got his pots and returned home to plant. We wanted to mix in peat moss and some special tomato food. About thirty minutes later, we returned to his house with two beautifully planted tomatoes.<\/p>\n

FLASH!\u00a0 Greg and his friend went to Irene’s home and put on the canvas top on the garage frame that Del, Ed, and I put up years ago.\u00a0 The weather and wind finally ripped the old one to shreds.\u00a0 Mary and I bought the new materials and had Greg install it for us; he lives close by Irene.<\/p>\n

New alert; Irene’s top is up!<\/p><\/div>\n

We repotted our root-bound mint and dining room plants with fresh soil.\u00a0 They are now looking pretty good.\u00a0 We left the out overnight to dry off before placing them back inside the living and dining room.<\/p>\n

We worked until dusk!<\/p><\/div>\n

We added two new blueberry plants to our collection.\u00a0 We had to dig large holes and fill them with peat moss to bring up the acidity of the local soil.\u00a0 Some of the blueberries are getting ready to ripen.\u00a0 It is fun to go outside and pick your own berries for a morning cereal.<\/p>\n

On one of our recent visits, I tried to tell Mary about the “Hawaiian Island” chain. This image on my Quora account told the story. The Hawaiian Islands are almost 1,000 miles long and consist of many small islands. Midway Island is at the end of the chain, although it is NOT part of Hawaii.<\/p>\n

We had a light dinner with a salad from the garden and a baked potato, chicken with beans and peas from the garden.<\/p>\n

We watched “Darby O’Gill And The Little People”; back to our childhood.<\/p>\n

The picture was taken in 1960. Mary was only eight, and I was in High School! Summary: Just-fired Darby O’Gill (Albert Sharpe) does not want to tell his daughter, Katie (Janet Munro), that his position has been taken by a dashing younger man (Sean Connery). Then, on his way home, Darby slips through a portal to the land of the little people. There he meets the leprechaun king, Brian (Jimmy O’Dea), and winds up accidentally bringing the little monarch home with him. Darby then demands Brian grant him three wishes, but the request brings Darby bittersweet and unexpected results.<\/span><\/p>\n

We headed for the swim spa after the movie and soaked in the hot water for 45 minutes, which relieved our planting pains!\u00a0 From there, we went to bed around 9:30 pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
