Now we know why Scout is not invited to any birthday parties!<\/p><\/div>\n

We woke up at our usual time and were walking around the house when suddenly, I heard a scream, “Paul, we have to be in Long Beach in 25 minutes!” We both were taken aback and realized we had forgotten about my stitches removal appointment at 10:00 a.m. in Long Beach.<\/p>\n

At 9:35 a.m., we were in Orange and had to hurry up.\u00a0 We got dressed and rushed to the car when we noticed the fuel gauge was low and signaling to refuel.\u00a0 With only 10 miles left, we reached the doctor’s office just in time.\u00a0 We radioed the engineer and had him set the speed to Warp-6.<\/p>\n

We called the doctor’s office and blamed the traffic, but we did get there 15 minutes late!\u00a0 It was a straightforward appointment; they were removing stitches from my latest cancer removal incision.\u00a0 We could have done it ourselves, but a quick trip to Long Beach was OK.<\/p>\n

From the doctor’s office, we headed to the Elks for the weekly “Girls Night Out” ritual!\u00a0 We had a good-sized crowd today!\u00a0 As we arrived, the banter was well underway, so we listened and joined in the fun!\u00a0 I posed two comments to the group and received various reactions!<\/p>\n
