We ran out to check the new rose, and it is just doing fine!\u00a0 The rain may have helped it along.\u00a0 Now, we have all barrels on the west wall with roses in them, and each one is easy to move around.<\/p>\n

Life is like a rose garden \u2014 watch for the thorns and keep the pest dust handy<\/p>\n

Around 8:00 am, I went to get Mary to show her the fantastic Cumulus Mammatus clouds<\/a>, which are pouch-like cloud structures and a rare example of clouds in sinking air.<\/p>\n

Weird cloud formations<\/p><\/div>\n

The clouds stayed around for about thirty minutes before dispersing and returning to normal.<\/p>\n

Looks like bubbles!<\/p><\/div>\n

I had an appointment with a dermatologist to examine a few unusual spots on my face.\u00a0 The appointment was scheduled for 10:00 am.\u00a0 We stopped by Home Depot and got the item my doctor suggested!<\/p>\n

After that, we called Irene and invited her to accompany us to George’s Greek Restaurant on 2nd Street in Belmont Shores.<\/p>\n

During our conversation with Nikki, the manager, and George’s daughter, we learned that the family had sold their other locations in Long Beach and Lakewood.\u00a0 Recently, Nikki bought out her brother, and he moved up north to start a winery.\u00a0 She plans to continue working at the restaurant since she lives nearby and her teenage child attends the local high school.\u00a0 We’re thrilled to hear this, as the restaurant has fantastic food and exceptional service!<\/p>\n

I asked Nikki, “What do you call the Greek God of regret?” She looked puzzled, and then I told her, “Apollogies.”<\/em><\/p>\n

We, of course, ordered Saganaki!\u00a0 It looked so good we ordered it for two other tables.\u00a0 The sudden flash in the pan felt pretty good on my cold legs; I wore shorts.<\/p>\n

We are about to dine on Saganaki at George’s Greek Restaurant.<\/p><\/div>\n

Never eat expired Greek food.\u00a0 You’ll falafel afterward!<\/em><\/p>\n

Mary was a good girl and did the salad.\u00a0 Irene and I each ordered eight lamb chops, and they were out-of-this-world delicious.\u00a0 We had a glass of vino because we knew it was 5:00 pm somewhere.\u00a0 The three of us dined and shared for almost two hours.!<\/p>\n

Someone is happy!!<\/p><\/div>\n

Heading south from Belmont Shores, we went to South Coast Plaza to visit the Apple store.\u00a0 Mary’s iPhone was acting up, but the staff quickly resolved the issue, returning the phone to normal.<\/p>\n

We headed home after the repair job and worked around the house.\u00a0 We watched a movie called “Snitch” and then fell asleep.\u00a0 We were waiting to hear the rain, but it did not start until after 3:00 am and was a small storm; hence, it was very quiet!<\/p>\n
