We woke up early this morning and headed to the garden to start our day. We made a checklist of everything we needed to do to get the garden back in shape. Unfortunately, my bronchitis wasn’t improving, so we had a scheduled appointment with Dr. Rucker at 9:15 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s so hot that both taps now come out with hot water.<\/p>\n\n\n

It’s so hot I saw two hydrants fight over a dog.<\/p>\n\n\n

Since the doctor’s office is in Los Alamitos, we decided to call our daughter Robin and have lunch with her and Kathy Smith, who works at Boeing. We went to Seal Beach and had Mexican food; Shrimp Diablo for me!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was a great way to spend the afternoon and take my mind off of coughing. Besides, two margaritas are always good medicine!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s so hot that you can poach eggs in a pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When we got home in the mid-afternoon, we turned on the air conditioning to stay cool. When the outside temperature hit a blazing 100 degrees, we were lucky we had solar power.\u00a0 Mary decided to take a quick nap, and while she dozed off, I returned to the yard to harvest the remaining corn.<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nMary stayed asleep!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When she woke up and found me outside, we began raising hell! I’ve never tried hell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before dinner, Mary sat at her computer and read our Hawaii trip <\/a><\/strong>website.\u00a0 <\/strong>She helped me remove the typos and other errors; she is an excellent partner. We have side-by-side desks in the office, which makes this task fun!<\/p>\n\n\n We had stir-fry for dinner with fresh veggies and chicken.\u00a0 We killed off a bottle of fine wine, Two Buck Chuck!<\/p>\n\n\n\n We talked to Robin and are doing a perogie and movie night on Saturday! The four of us will have fun, and I will get to test out our new soundbar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We stayed up until midnight watching “Suits”; we are in the middle of season five.\u00a0 It was so warm we took a midnight walk<\/em> (if you catch my drift), since the pool was too hot to enjoy! Naked in the moonlight made the coyotes howl!<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s so hot even the artificial flowers are dying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s so hot I broke wind to have a little breeze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We woke up early this morning and headed to the garden to start our day.
