Mary found a bunch of bug parts in the garden and decided to put them back together.\u00a0 Using her surgical skills, she created all sorts of creatures.<\/p>\n

Going buggy!<\/p><\/div>\n

Her little friends made a great hit with everyone.\u00a0 We took some to Alex and Charlie; they giggled!<\/p>\n

From our garden<\/p><\/div>\n

We had a small party of just ten folks; Jim & Vicky, Irene, Brenda, Bob & Robin, David & Dianne, and us.\u00a0 We visited, dined, and revisited from 2:00 pm until about 6:00 pm, when we departed for Joe’s house for a fireworks show!<\/p>\n

Family arrives!<\/p><\/div>\n

Chef Duda and his sidekick Robin brined the ribs overnight in a liquid-smoke concoction, and they turned out very tasty!<\/p>\n

Dem bones!<\/p><\/div>\n

We rang the dinner bell and yelled, “Come and get it.”\u00a0 The kitchen was mobbed.<\/p>\n

Come and get it!<\/p><\/div>\n

The chomping sounds could be heard all the way to Tustin.\u00a0 We were all stuff by the end since we had corn on the cobb, watergate salad, potato salad, shishito pepper and for dessert, coconut flag cake and apple pie!<\/p>\n

Chomping on the patio!<\/p><\/div>\n

We were all ready for a nap, but instead, we gathered in the family room and swapped sea stories.\u00a0 What is a “sea story”?\u00a0 It is an interesting or amusing story, typically fictional or exaggerated<\/b><\/p>\n

Visiting<\/p><\/div>\n

We said goodbye about 6:30 pm and then we hopped in the car and went to La Mirada to meet with Joe and his family.<\/p>\n

Just us!<\/p><\/div>\n

Pop! Bang! Boom!\u00a0 We were dazzled with fireworks for the entire evening and Joe was the ringmaster (or should we say, ringleader).<\/p>\n

At Joe’s Famous Fireworks Display!<\/p><\/div>\n

We were back home by 10:00 pm and got quite a show on the way home.\u00a0 The entire sky was flooded with fireworks.\u00a0 Mortars seemed to be very popular, albeit illegal.<\/p>\n
