Fact: On 16 December 1965, the song ‘Jingle Bells’ made history by becoming the first song to be played in space during NASA\u2019s Gemini 6A space flight.<\/strong> At least\u2026 we think it was the first\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n

Today was a great day; Christmas got officially started,\u00a0 MAry is Covid free I stopped coughing, and Scout, The Wonder Dog, chased off the UPS, USPS, and FexEx guys, all at once!<\/p>\n

We walked the garden and then headed for the shower as we had a hair appointment at 9:00 AM.\u00a0 We want to look pretty for this evening’s dance at the Elks!!\u00a0 My appointment took 20 minutes, and I picked up Mary at 1:00 PM (four hours?)\u00a0 She looked terrific, all ready for Swingtine at the Eks!<\/p>\n

We took a short nap but at 4:00 PM we were up and ready to go!<\/p>\n

We danced and danced and danced!\u00a0 Mary asked me to dance with the singles and I did along with Dr. Zaitz.\u00a0 Irene, Vicky, and Brenda all had their feet attacked by my clodhoppers!<\/p>\n

We visited the trees!<\/p><\/div>\n

We walked the silent auction and won an outdoor smoker\/grill plus an opportunity to have our colors checked by Mary Capps!<\/p>\n

We bid, and we won!!<\/p><\/div>\n

Drew and Bob Carlson was with us this evening; great fun!!!<\/p>\n

What do you call dancing by the sink? Tap dancing.<\/p>\n

Drew had a good time this evening.<\/p><\/div>\n

The hit of the evening was the Andrews Sisters; they were amazing!\u00a0 They really lit up the evening.<\/p>\n

The Andrews Sisters were terrific!<\/p><\/div>\n

We wandered home at about 10:00 PM, but we stopped at Ace’s and had a glass (or two) of wine, and met some new folks!\u00a0 After all, it is Christmas!<\/p>\n
