Fact:\u00a0Fact: A one-way trip on the Trans-Siberian Railway involves crossing 3,901 bridges<\/strong> –\u00a0Not only is the Trans-Siberian Railway the\u00a0longest railroad<\/a> in Russia, but it’s also the longest one in the world.\u00a0 The journey takes seven days, during which time passengers pass through eight different time zones and cross 3,901 bridges.<\/em><\/p>\n

We were up and going early because we have special company; our son-in-law, Mark, is coming into town for the weekend before going to San Diego to run a meeting of Navy folks attempting to fix some “brokes” in their machinery!<\/p>\n

Scout was up bright and early and demanding his breakfast!\u00a0 We make sure he gets fed; otherwise, he gets pesky.<\/p>\n

Time for a drink!<\/p><\/div>\n

Joe went to the airport to pick up Mark which was very nice of him.\u00a0 Mark got in at 10 AM and arrived at our house at about 11:15 AM.\u00a0 His flight was OK, but he didn’t get much of a chance to sleep the night before or on the airplane.\u00a0 We talked for probably an hour before we decided that he needed a nap; I thought he needed a beauty nap, but I’m not sure it’s going to work.<\/p>\n

Ma<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary packed up some goodies for our “shut-ins,” and we went to do some errands, including visiting Mary’s tax person.\u00a0 We dropped by some goodies for Bill and then went to Jan’s to drop some goodies off.\u00a0 We stayed and visited for a while.<\/p>\n

I love to walk up to Jan and say, “They know.” Then I quickly walk away.\u00a0 Jan will wrack her brain wondering what they did that people found out about.<\/p>\n

We visited for a good hour and killed off a bottle of wine, giggling the entire time!<\/p>\n

Visiting Jan!<\/p><\/div>\n

We decided to walk in the front yard when we returned home because the flowers were doing so well.\u00a0 The daffodils are absolutely fantastic.<\/p>\n

The flowers are amazing.<\/p><\/div>\n

Our tulips are starting to appear, and the first couple was purple and white, and the second ones were bright red; the fire department down the street was jealous of our colors.<\/p>\n

I asked Scout what he thought about the flowers, and he responded with, “roses are gray, tulips are gray, most flowers are gray, hey, I’m a dog.”<\/p>\n

We have flowers.<\/p><\/div>\n

Robin came over around 4:30 PM, and we all went to the Orange County Mining Co., which is about 2 miles from our house.\u00a0 The view is always amazing unless there’s an overcast.\u00a0 On a good night, it was a clear sky, and we could see all the way to Santa Monica.<\/p>\n

I remembered an old joke about Spring.\u00a0 It seems a family of moles awakens from hibernation.\u00a0 The father mole pokes his head out of the hole and says, “I smell tulips.\u00a0 It must be spring”.\u00a0 The mother mole pokes her head out of the hole and says, “I smell cherry blossoms.\u00a0 It must be spring”.\u00a0 The baby mole is trying to squeeze between his parents but gets stuck and says, “all I smell is molasses”<\/p>\n

Leaving to go to the OC Mining Company<\/p><\/div>\n

We arrived and had a window seat overlooking the city.\u00a0 The sun was on its way to take its nightly dip into the western ocean.\u00a0 The clouds had a silver lining, and that portends a fantastic.<\/p>\n

I saw some birds and thought to myself, “Why do seagulls fly over the sea?\u00a0 Because if they flew over the bay, they’d be bagels!”<\/p>\n

View from the table!<\/p><\/div>\n

Robin and Mark I’ve known each other for a long time, and it was like an old home week when they got together.<\/p>\n

Then I remembered, golden hour = happy hour!\u00a0 Time for wine!<\/p>\n

Dinner time.<\/p><\/div>\n

The view was really quite impressive, and the sun just seemed to drop into the ocean; we were surprised we didn’t see steam rising in the west.<\/p>\n

Great view!<\/p><\/div>\n

We had a great meal even though I ordered fish at a steakhouse!\u00a0 We asked the waitress for a list of desserts were, and when she mentioned root beer, we stopped her right there, in her tracks!<\/p>\n

Yeah, for beer!<\/p><\/div>\n

Our tummies are now full, and we are ready for a movie which we all slept through except for Mary she was in charge of the door to keep the elephants away.<\/p>\n

Just Us!<\/p><\/div>\n

Before we turned on the TV, I had to model my latest purchase from Amazon, and I decided to order a St. Patrick’s Day Afro in a large size.<\/p>\n

My new Afro!<\/p><\/div>\n

None of us remember what the movie was about except Mary and when we asked her, she mumbled something about “Cinderella the wicked witch, dalmatian dogs, and a large battleship.”<\/p>\n
