We were lazy today and just worked in the office for quite a while.\u00a0 \u00a0Mary made my favorite breakfast, gruel. To be honest, she also made a delicious bagel to go along with the gruel and fresh fruit.<\/p>\n

Did You Know? <\/strong>Gruel consists of some cereal\u2014such as ground oats, wheat, rye, or rice\u2014heated or boiled in water or milk. It is a thinner version of porridge that may be more often drunk than eaten and may not need to be cooked.<\/div>\n

I got the results from the dermatologists’ visit, and of the three samples they took, one is severe and heeds to be removed surgically.<\/p>\n

I will see a skin surgeon soon.<\/p><\/div>\n

Around noon, we got cleaned up and went to Tustin to see an old clothing store and to Clario’s Italian Deli. We got some goodies for Jan and took them to her place around 1:00 PM. We had a glass of wine and then returned home to get ready for the trek to Los Alamitos and Seal Beach.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow we will layout the area for our new garden which will look like the old one except a little bigger. We will have a dedicated berry area, and one of the beds will be sized for corn, meaning at leave six feet wide instead of four feet. I asked Mary if she knew what kind of socks a gardener wears?”\u00a0 She waited patiently for the horrible answer, which was, ” Garden hose.”<\/p>\n

We are anxious to get back to gardening!<\/p><\/div>\n

We headed west with a stop by Mary’s old office to pick up a new pair of glasses for Paul. Then we went to Vicky’s house and dropped off the Starlighter’s greeters bag. After that, we went to PAtty’s, arriving about 6:00 PM. We were an hour early for dinner, so we sat at the bar and kibitzed with the locals until Bill and Mary arrived.<\/p>\n

We are just having a load of fun!<\/p><\/div>\n

At the end of dinner, I coaxed Bill into having dessert; it was the only way I could beat him in our weight contest. Mary and I drank our dessert!<\/p>\n

The dinner was excellent and the company fantastic; we laughed and giggled for almost two hours.<\/p>\n

Slurp, gurgle, belch! The desserts were mighty good!<\/p><\/div>\n

We drove home happy and stuffed to the gills; my plan of eating only half of the meal and bringing the remainder home failed miserably. Upon arrival at Casa Valencia, I took Scout out to water the lawn, and Mary headed to her room to get ready for bed. We didn’t bother with TV and dove right into our readers.<\/p>\n
