Fact: The Eiffel Tower can be 15 cm taller during the summer <\/strong>due<\/a> to thermal expansion, meaning the iron heats up, the particles gain kinetic energy, and take up more space.<\/em><\/p>\n

We did some work in the office in the morning, but at noon we departed for Loma Linda to meet up with Mary’s old girlfriend and attend a funeral at the University Chapel. Although Mary did not know the gentleman very well, her friend BJ drove in from Arizona, and we met at the chape.<\/p>\n

It was a beautiful ceremony; he was the Director Of Music for several organizations, and the coral presentations were terrific.<\/p>\n

He was a fun and talented guy, as evidenced by the videos’<\/p><\/div>\n

We departed Lona Linda around 4:00 PM and headed home with almost zero traffic; it was a miracle on a Sunday evening.<\/p>\n

We talked to Vicky and Colleen on the bat phone and introduced BJ to the crazies. I decided Orange Hill would be suitable for dinner, and indeed it was.\u00a0 \u00a0Mary chose to warm up a bit before being seated.<\/p>\n

I think we had a great seat with a view of the ocean, the Atlantic.<\/p>\n

Just us.<\/p><\/div>\n

I slipped outside for a second and got a snap of the view from the patio; it was too cold to dine alfresco.<\/p>\n

One could see forever!<\/p><\/div>\n

We went crazy with wine and food this evening. The ladies filet mignon and I tried the waiters special )I asked home for his favorite – I call it a “surprise me”)\u00a0 It was terrific.<\/p>\n

We had a spectacular view.<\/p><\/div>\n

Returning home, we talked for another two hours, which consisted of laughing and giggling.<\/p>\n

We had a glass of wine upon returning home, and we visited Vicky and Colleen.<\/p><\/div>\n

We pooped out about 10:00 PM and hit the sack. BK will hit the road about 10:00 AM to avoid the infamous California traffic.<\/p>\n
