We were so poor my daddy unplugged the clocks when we went to bed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Mary went to work and left us at home; silly girl, we had no supervision all day!\u00a0 Well, the first couple of hours, we visited an endodontist as Colleen was having a tooth issue.\u00a0 I offered to tie a rope to it and slam the door, but she opted for a medical approach to the situation. After ninety minutes in the chair, Colleen came out with a prescription and a promise the pain would subside in an hour or so!<\/p>\n

When we returned home, we had to find something to do to stay out of trouble!\u00a0 Not easy for us!\u00a0 We decided to go to Rockwell’s for lunch as all Colleen could eat would be soup!<\/p>\n

Colleen rested for a while, but mid-afternoon, she took the latest load of donations to the Good Will!\u00a0 I installed a 24″ by 60″ mirror in the front room\/hallway to see ourselves as we departed the premises.<\/p>\n

Our plant is coming back to life!<\/p><\/div>\n

I then washed the outdoor furniture under the pavilion at the far end of the pool while it was raining and thundering\/lightning a few miles away.<\/p>\n

It rained about 3:30 PM, complete with lightning!<\/p><\/div>\n

Well, it is spotless now!\u00a0 We are getting everything ready for the party.\u00a0 The dance floor, chairs, and tables will be delivered soon, and Joe and I will try the lighting out before the big day!<\/p>\n

I could have moved the tables, and the rain would have done the job!<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary got home about 5:00 PM, and she and Colleen fixed dinner while I was bust with Apple Support attempting to get the iMac to talk to one another.<\/p>\n

Mary and I had exciting careers, so we decided to display some of the things we did along a hallway that leads from the kitchen\/family room to the bedroom complex.\u00a0 We decided to have a sign at the top of the hallway wall with Mary on the South and me on the North!<\/p>\n

She can tell of medical school and being in the Army.\u00a0 He can mention life in Germany for eight years and then working at the VA and her various roles in the local universities. It will be pretty interesting.<\/p>\n

Forty-two years as an MD!<\/p><\/div>\n

My world would start with working as a test engineer on Apollo and then as a Project Engineer on Apollo J-Series Missions.\u00a0 That was followed by the Space Shuttle, where I was a Senior Project Engineer and then Manager of the Avionics Development Laboratory.\u00a0 After that, I moved into the classified arena for two years before being asked to be the Director of Avionics and Software on the Space Station Proposal.\u00a0 We lost that bid, but I moved back into the black world and was Chief-of-Staff for a rather large satellite system.<\/p>\n

I had forty-plus years with NAA, Rockwell, and Boeing.<\/p><\/div>\n

Our hallway will not be done for the party, but it will give us something to do before Christmas.<\/p>\n

We had a nice dinner and talked for an hour before crashing at 8:00 PM.\u00a0 OMG, I am getting old!\u00a0 In bed at 8:00 PM?\u00a0 I woke up at 10:00 PM and completed today’s “Daily Diary”; otherwise, I would be tossing and turning.<\/p>\n

I went outside to close the gates on the side of the house just in case bark the wonder dog might want to go outside.<\/p>\n
