I knew the local flasher was due to retire. But he’s decided to stick it out for another year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We did some easy chores around the house as I am recovering from “the great blood pressure” incident.\u00a0 All is normal this morning, but I admit I had to run to the gentlemen’s lounge every half hour this morning after over-achieving on the hydration front.<\/p>\n

We headed to the Elks for Girls Night Out and had a delightful meal; the food there is as good as any five-star restaurant I had seen.\u00a0 The ol’ folks joined us again, making for a special lunch. Hal is funny and sharp as a tack! Jeannie is such a card!<\/p>\n

At the end of the meal, I asked the executive chef to come out, and the whole place broke out into applause for the great food.\u00a0 The maitre-de was so happy we did that we all got a free dessert1<\/p>\n

Iris and Will joined us this afternoon!<\/p><\/div>\n

On the way home, I stopped at the market and got some last-minute things for dinner. It was extra warm in the market, so I decided fewer clothes was a good thing; how embarassing1<\/p>\n

When I went to the market, I did not know what to say!<\/p><\/div>\n

I decided not to tell Mary about my little escapade, but she did wonder why I was escorted out of the market by two armed guards!<\/p>\n

Then came the phone call we always dread; something wrong with a child or loved one! Our daughter, Colleen, who has been with us for the past two weeks, was in the hospital with COVID-19.\u00a0 We were a little worried because neither of us had been feeling 100%.\u00a0 Mary had patients tomorrow, so she plans to get a COVID screening ASAP.<\/p>\n

We called Bill Capps and did a wave-off for this evening.\u00a0 We do NOT want to spread it if we have it, so we are staying close to home.<\/p>\n

Celebrating two weeks as man and wife, I am still giddy!<\/p><\/div>\n
