I was up early and headed to Casa Valencia to make sure the drip system was working, and it was; the veggies are happy.\u00a0 Mary stayed at her home and worked on the exercise room, getting ready for the big move coming up.<\/p>\n

I headed to her place around 10:30 AM to get cleaned up and ready for the Daddy’s Day adventures.\u00a0 On the way, I told Mary, \u201cI gave my father $100 and said, \u2018Buy yourself something that will make your life easier.\u2019 So he went out and bought a present for my mother.\u201d<\/p>\n

“What could it be?”<\/p><\/div>\n

Tony really liked his sweatshirt\u2026 We all thought it was exceptional.<\/p>\n

Yes, indeed, we Old Guys rule.<\/p><\/div>\n

Joe didn’t realize there was a mousetrap in the bottom of his little package\u2026 It scared him when it went “snap.”<\/p>\n

Joe thought it was pretty funny, as you can tell by the expression on his face.<\/p>\n

Perfect!<\/p><\/div>\n

John got a nice sweatshirt, called “born to ride.”<\/p>\n

John has a great shirt!<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary fit right into this group like she had been here for years\u2026 She is a special lady!<\/p>\n

Mary fits right into this amazing group of people.<\/p><\/div>\n

We all had a great time filling our tummies to the brim. At 3:00 PM, we declared victory and started to leave, walking quite a bit slower than we entered the establishment.<\/p>\n

My amazing som, Joe, and his bride, Amy.<\/p><\/div>\n

We headed back home to take the dog for a walk and make sure he was fine. We turned The Silver Fox toward Disneyland and our prearranged meeting with Robin & Bob Nick plus as a bonus Donna and Bob. It was our first time at Catal in almost a year and a half, and the regulars were happy to see us.<\/p>\n

Are we happy or what?<\/p><\/div>\n

Robin & Bob found the perfect present for my new garage workshop. I plan to post it on the door entering the house in a very prominent location!<\/p>\n

I know where this is going!!!<\/p><\/div>\n

We had a great dinner and found several of the old-time Catal employees stopping by to visit. Right before we left, we did the “Robin pose.”<\/p>\n

At 8 o’clock, we headed for home, and the temperature had dropped many degrees, so we moved along rapidly so we could put a little body heat back in.<\/p>\n

Just a note: The day was amazing for me, I had lunch with my son, dinner with my daughter, and all my kids emailed, texted, and otherwise communicated with me.\u00a0 It feels good to be a dad on dad today; thank you, kids.
