Home is the most popular and will be the most enduring of all earthly establishments.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The plumber is coming, so I was up early to meet him even though we did not have the exact time.\u00a0 Mary went to the post office to deposit her checks for the estimated taxes; I am still looking for my tax paperwork this year! After she came to casa Valencia, we worked around the house until I finally called the plumber, and they said we would get a 40-minute warning via phone call.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Yeah, we went to the local nursery looking for veggies.\u00a0 To no avail, we had to go to The Farm Supply House on the other side of the Orange Circle.\u00a0 That was a good place to go, and we came home with three flats of herbs and veggies plus two large patio tomatoes and some potting soil.<\/p>\n

Needless o say, we kept busy all afternoon while the plumber pondered our dilemma.\u00a0 It turns out the guy from 9aa Plumbing left us with a gas leak, did not hook up the circulating pump, forgot to set the dip switches (that controls the computer), and put in a gas line that was not needed.\u00a0 The plumber worked for nearly four hours fixing everything.<\/p>\n

Mary dug up the rectangular planters tossing out the old vegetation and replacing it with some new dirt and fertilizer.\u00a0 The outside temperature was 83 degrees.<\/p>\n

Hey! It’s getting hot out here!<\/p><\/div>\n

We thought about the old tent, and by golly, it worked.\u00a0 We had a hard time figuring out how to put it up but finally got it.<\/p>\n

Now I can work longer.<\/p><\/div>\n

Daughter Colleen sent dr. Mary a birthday present, and it has a place of honor on the patio.<\/p>\n

From Dr. Mary, “Thank you, Colleen, for the wonderful birthday present!”<\/p><\/div>\n

We took the boxes from the front of the house and put them along the 100-foot wall separating the grass from the pool.\u00a0 Now we will put in a drip l; nine to water the little suckers; a job for another day!<\/p>\n

The frogs get a view from the patio.<\/p><\/div>\n

Meanwhile, on the patio proper, we filled twelve big planters with the larger plants and installed supports so they can grow.\u00a0 We may put them down the side of the pool on the other side; a decision had yet to be made.<\/p>\n

We have string beans, cucumber, zucchini, tomatoes, pole, and bush beans, plus a load of herbs!<\/p><\/div>\n

We were having a glass of vino on the patio when Mary heard something, so she went to investigate; it was the neighbors working in the cool of the day.<\/p>\n

Mary checks out the north 400000!<\/p><\/div>\n

We finished our wine, headed to Mary’s house arriving at 8:00 PM, and took a well-deserved shower; we were filthy with dirt from all the planting activities. We thought about a movie but decided to crash!<\/p>\n
