What a day! We should have been together, but alas, I was off like a shot, as you shall read about below!<\/p>\n

Mary got her roses last night as I wanted them early in the morning for her birthday.\u00a0 I think she liked them, duh!<\/p>\n

I asked her about birthdays and how she remembers her age every year.\u00a0 The response was, “It’s easier to remember your age if you don’t change it every year.”<\/p>\n

OK, truth be known, I gave Mary a Heimlich maneuver. Proving once again I’m no good at birthday gifts.<\/p>\n

I departed at 7:45 AM for the dentist and spent 8:30 to noon laying horizontal with two ladies poking and prodding me.\u00a0 I am getting some work done on the teeth; did I say work?<\/p>\n

I was brave most of the time, but there were a few ouches along the way.\u00a0 Dr. Annie Nagel is an amazing dentist, and she is right up there with Dr Merle Flemming (who was my dentist for the past three decades, he retired).<\/p>\n

Dang, that hurt!<\/p><\/div>\n

As soon as the dentist was over, I headed to meet with my escrow officer. No people, NOT my PAROLE officer, escrow officer.\u00a0 I am selling one property and buying another rental property, so there is a mile of paperwork to get things closed.\u00a0 My escrow officer is amazing.<\/p>\n

What Is Escrow? – Escrow is a legal concept describing a financial instrument whereby an asset or escrow money is held by a third party on behalf of two other parties that are in the process of completing a transaction. Escrow accounts might include escrow fees managed by agents who hold the funds or assets until receiving appropriate instructions or until the fulfillment of predetermined contractual obligations. Money, securities, funds, and other assets can all be held in escrow. It is often suggested as a replacement for a certified or cashier’s check.<\/div>\n

After that meeting, I needed t go to Los Alamitos to get some things, and when I arrived, I was so hungry and got a McDonald’s 1\/4-pounder; I was desperate for food, I guess.\u00a0 Mary called while I was pulled over to gobble down my burger.\u00a0 We had a water-pressure problem which we resolved.\u00a0 She also mentioned that my kids, random grandkids, and friends had been calling her all day to wish her a happy birthday.\u00a0 \u00a0Crazy Greg won the prize for the most ingenious birthday wish!<\/p>\n

Then the freeway flyer, also known as The Silver Fox, and I zipped down the 22-Freeway to Casa Valencia, where I met up with Miss Mary.\u00a0 The software people had just departed, and they replaced our water pressure regulator with a new one.\u00a0 Earlier in the day, the water pressure in the house was over 100 psi. Normal psi for a home pipe system is between 30 and 80 psi. While you don’t want the psi to be too low, it violates the code to be above 80. Instead, you should aim for a psi that’s between 60 and 70. All is now good!<\/p>\n

We worked for an hour and then went up the hill to Mary’s place and got cleaned up as we are going to David and Dianne’s for dinner.\u00a0 I had the best veal piccata I have ever had!\u00a0 I should have known as Dianne is an amazing chef! Her use of lemons in the sauce was an eye-opener!<\/p>\n

We sat around and grabbed for two hours, but as the clock approached 8:00 PM our eyes were closing so we departed for the five-mile journey home.<\/p>\n

I was asleep before my head hit the pillow.\u00a0 Mary said she watched some TV.\u00a0 The problem is after seven hours, I am up and ready to go so at 3:00 AM sharp my systems were on full alert.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
