We were up early and attacked the garden with vigor.\u00a0 We worked over three hours pulling weeds, harvesting various veggies, planting corn, and mulching.\u00a0 The garden is looking good and we can already see progress in the tomato beds!<\/p>\n

Farmer Paul, as the neighbors know me.\u00a0 Mary refused her camera shot because she was in “work clothes”.\u00a0 She look good in anything!<\/p>\n

We planted 25 corns stalks and in a couple of weeks we will do 25 more so as to even out the production.\u00a0 The corn is in furrows so they roots can be will down in the dirt before the plant begins to get top heavy.<\/p>\n

The swiss chard goes wild in my yard.\u00a0 I always have between 3-6 plants going at any ne time because it is go easy to grow and good for you!<\/p>\n

We also like kale a lot and planted green and red kale, much of it is gone as we have devouring it for a month or more.<\/p>\n

Mary and Scout do the back wall.\u00a0 The berries are coming on strong and we already have blackberry blossoms forming.\u00a0 We should have quite a harvest this year!<\/p>\n

I love to pick berries all summer long.\u00a0 They are already looking good for this year!<\/p>\n

This wall will produce 1,000 berries during the summer!<\/p><\/div>\n

Scout, The Wonder Dog, is taking a rest from chasing the elephants.\u00a0 He is a tired boy.\u00a0 We may have to pay him double-time!<\/p>\n

After three hours and two trashcans full of weeds and pickings, we are done!\u00a0 Time toeat!<\/p>\n

We threw the Swiss chard into the boiling water for three minutes and them into a colander to drain away the remaining water. It was so pretty but one entire plant barely fed the two of us.<\/p>\n

Talk about fresh.<\/p><\/div>\n

MAry worked her magic as she found rice, ——. and Kerrygold butter in the fridge and with a dab of soy sauce, we had a delicious and healthy lunch!!!\u00a0 Nummy nummy!<\/p>\n

Lunch is served!<\/p><\/div>\n

At 2:00 PM we departed for Orange and decided it was nap time; hey, we re old and we still have to go dancing.\u00a0 We woke up at 4:00 PM, got ready, and headed to Rockwell’s in Villa Park for dinner; excellent choice!<\/p>\n

we were first to arrive at the dance studio and we stayed until almost 9:30 PM dancing to anything and everything, whether we kept time of not.\u00a0 We had great fun!<\/p>\n

The Zaitz were not with us this evening so we had our able to ourselves… you should NEVER leave us alone… We get into trouble!<\/p><\/div>\n

We departed for Mary’s at 9:30 PM arriving about 10:00 PM. Mary crashed and I headed to Los Alamitos listening to my latest audiobook, MAYDAY.\u00a0 I may never fly again after listening to the book.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
