Someone told me that their non-alcoholic wine was delicious. I said they had no proof.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

We were up and moving by 7:00 AM and ready to have breakfast with Donna and Bob at 9:00 at the Bolero Restaurant at our hotel.\u00a0 It was the first time we had dined there, and it was quite nice!\u00a0 I had to ask Bob, “What do cats like to eat for breakfast?”\u00a0 Without skipping a beat, he replied, “Duh!\u00a0Mice Krispies”<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Although I had biscuit and gravy, you would not know that from the menu item title. On the menu, it was called “Bollo con Salsa,” but the description gave it away: Fresh Baked Biscuits with Chorizo Gravy & Two Eggs.<\/p>\n

I accidentally consumed five biscuits when I wasn’t paying attention. Those biscuits are wily fellows – they leap in my mouth like sugary ninjas.<\/p>\n

Bailey’s was delivered to the table, a fair way to start the day!<\/p>\n

Slurp, gurgle, hic!<\/p><\/div>\n

Leaving the restaurant, we could NOT pass up the pony ride, and we did not even need a quarter.\u00a0 I tried to explain it was not a ride but a statue; it was to no avail, so you can guess what happened.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>

Breakfast was good, time for a horse ride!<\/p><\/div>\n

Oh, you know why I tell the waiters that we are having a father-daughter breakfast.\u00a0 She is so young, and I look like father time on the last day of the year.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m at the age where food has taken the place of sex in my life. In fact, I\u2019ve just had a mirror put over my kitchen table.<\/p>\n

I told Mary, my stockbroker urged me to buy a stock that would triple its value every year. I told him, \u2018\u201cAt my age, I don\u2019t even buy green bananas.\u201d<\/p>\n

As a graduate of the Zsa Zsa Gabor School of Creative mathematics, I honestly do not know how old I am, but I am sure it’s older than dirt!<\/p>\n

Just horsing around.<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary did decide to go for a ride, but when she kept yelling “Hi Ho Silver, Away,” Bob, Donna, and I quickly backed away.\u00a0 But when she cried, “Come on, Tonto,” and returned to my position right by her side.<\/p>\n

Giddy up go, horsey… We could not bring ourselves to tell her it was a bull!<\/p><\/div>\n

She discovered the horns, and the truth was out.\u00a0 She then asked for her red cape and sword; fortunately, we did NOT pack those on this trip!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>

Got the bull by the horns!<\/p><\/div>\n

Now that the horsey ride was over, we officially begin tasting wine. Be began at the east end of the valley and then returned to the scene of the crime via five wineries to pick up our last case!<\/p>\n

Definitely a “truism”!<\/p><\/div>\n

Being professional wine drinkers, Donna, Bob, and I showed Mary the signal for not liking the last taste.\u00a0 She got it perfectly except perhaps a little more squinting of the eyes. Always remember, an empty bottle of wine is better than a filled one. It shows achievement.\u00a0 Personally, I drink to make other people more interesting.<\/p>\n

I am going to get into trouble over this one!<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary kept a map\/log of where we went, and I followed Bob, who Donna led; this could have been a train wreck!\u00a0 As Donna always says, “If you walk a mile in my shoes, you\u2019ll end up in a wine bar.”<\/p>\n

Dear friends and just wonderful people!<\/p><\/div>\n

Our daughter Robin played babysitter at my house watching Scout, The Wonder Dog, making sure he was fed, loved, walked, and otherwise adored; he is so spoiled.\u00a0 We pulled up the security camera to see what he was up to and found him in his usual position.<\/p>\n

PLOP! SNORE!<\/p><\/div>\n

We went to five wineries and ate a plate of cheese the size of a small Volkswagen.\u00a0 Stuff and properly inebriated (meaning us boys ceased drinking around 2:00 PM), we headed for home about 4:00 PM, and the freeways were wide open; thank-you Super Bowl!<\/p>\n

By the time I got to Mary’s, my face was on fire.\u00a0 Be prepared; this is what I looked like all day. I told everyone who asked that I was in a bar fight last night and you should see the other person, she was a real mess!<\/p>\n

The price you pay for being out in the sun too much!<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary found some lotions, and I applied them; I crashed early so the pain would go away.\u00a0 Tomorrow I plan to see the dermatologist as this is too painful to go one for another week!<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I ever go missing, I\u2019d like my picture put on wine bottles instead of milk cartons. This way, my friends will know to look for me; but NOT this picture!<\/p>\n
