Q: Did you hear about the optometrist that fell into his lens grinding machine?<\/strong><\/em>
\nA: He made a spectacle of himself!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Bright and early, 4:30 AM,\u00a0 I heard the shower going in the guest bathroom and it was Mary getting ready for her Zoom meeting at 7:30 AM.\u00a0 Scout came into my room and did the pee-pee dance so I took him out.\u00a0 He circled the house twice to make sure they were no elephants hiding in the bushes.\u00a0 We hear the elephants are returning to the hood and they are not happy<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

It is my understanding that Mary is looking for a doctor to examine my sense of humor. I can’t say as I blame her.<\/p>\n

7:30 AM sharp and the Zoom session started. Mary was the lecturer-of-the-day and she spoke on glaucoma which is a pretty interesting subject.\u00a0 Scout was right there to absorb all the relevant facts and an occasional cookie.<\/p>\n

What a pair!!<\/p><\/div>\n

After zooming we had a very tight breakfast as we are going to The Yucatan Grill for lunch with Robin.\u00a0 I caught Mary with the camera but Robin was elusive because she had no makeup on; well, neither did I!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Both Mary and I went “out of the box” and ordered things we had never had before.\u00a0 We did well, both meals were excellent.\u00a0 I had a margarita and it was perfect; I love salt on my tequila.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Returning home, I changed into shorts as I had a post-op exam by the surgeon.\u00a0 I passed with frying colors (I was hot!).<\/p>\n

Nice legs!<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary examined the x-rays and saw calcification in my arteries.\u00a0 She asked how old I really am!\u00a0 I told her just a little older than dirt!<\/p>\n

“Calcium? Are you sure?”<\/p><\/div>\n

From the doctors office we went home and Mary collected her stuff and we headed to Orange, Mary has not been home for a few days as she was taking care of me and the knee. I would have not been a good patient without Miss Mary hounding me with ice packs and medications and insisting on wearing my pantyhose (TED’s) and doing exercises.<\/p>\n

When we arrived at Mary’s we unpacked the car and decided to sit in the hot tub after Two And A Half Men.\u00a0 It was very pleasant and I slept like a baby.\u00a0 Tomorrow we have the dentist at 9:00 AM and Mary’s is meeting with her financial person in the early afternoon.<\/p>\n

I provided Mary with my sage advice:<\/p>\n

  1. Borrow money from pessimists \u2013 they don\u2019t expect it back.<\/li>\n
