I used to be afraid of hurdles, but I got over it.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\r\n

All I could think about was Zack and Connor and how they loved their dad, and now dad is gone. I made several calls to friends who knew Mitch and they, like me, were shocked.\u00a0 Fifty-five, such a short time!<\/p>\r\n

Lilly, Zack, Connor, and Mitch at Old Ranch Country Club<\/p><\/div>\r\n

A little good news as I stepped on the scale, it read 183.5, so I have broken the 185 barrier!\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

This morning I checked my bills and paid them plus went through the Master Card charges.\u00a0 A lot of little charges sure add up quickly!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Time for a walk!\u00a0 I must keep this svelt figure in shape!<\/p>\r\n

Off I go with a cloud of smoke and a hearty “Hi Yo Silver!”<\/p><\/div>\r\n

The hood gets a little scary this time of year.\u00a0 The big pumpkin was out and waving at passers by!<\/p>\r\n

The decorations are really starting to appear.<\/p><\/div>\r\n

The passion fruit was blooming meaning in about 90 days I can pick some fruit as the owners let everything og to seed.<\/p>\r\n

A magnificent blossom and the fruit about the size of an orange.<\/p><\/div>\r\n

Mary called, and she threw out her back somehow; I was thinking on the way home last night, she had a burger, and perhaps putting her feet on the dashboard may have contributed to the pain.\u00a0 So, she is off to the doctor at 1:00 PM, and I will meet her at her place and nurse the doctor back to full recovery, confusing, huh?<\/p>\r\n

MAry brought lunch home, and then we used a combination of icepacks on her back, followed by a long stay in the hot tub.\u00a0 We alternated that process several times during the evening.<\/p>\r\n

The weather was perfect, so we sat outside, alternating the ice and heat.<\/p><\/div>\r\n

With the physical therapy and the pain medication, Mary was crashed by 7:00 PM.\u00a0 \u00a0Scout and I went for a walk, and then I buzzed out at 8:00 PM, making sure she was still asleep.<\/p>\r\n

I left her a note saying I’d be back over at 7:00 AM to pick her up and take her to work as driving with a bad back is NOT fun; I know this from personal experience.<\/p>\r\n
