Used for flavor and color, it is the fourth most consumed spice in the world. It has a pungent taste when heated that evokes its peppery origins. I went off my &#8220;diet&#8221; and had four street tacos and two beers.\u00a0 They were quite small and I went for pork so it was not too bad. I guess I was dehydrated from the heat.
