It’s the kind of heartache you can feel in your bones.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Thanksgiving 2019; Thanksgiving will never be the same!<\/p><\/div>\n

OK, I am up and moving heading to the coffee machine to get the heart started!\u00a0 I got my 9:00 AM “Nag Call” which I await every morning, thank you, Colleen!<\/p>\n

On a serious note, thank you, Colleen!<\/p><\/div>\n

A few minutes later, messages came in from Jonathan, Joe, and others checking on me! Feels special to know they all care.<\/p>\n

I stuffed the Topper’s envelopes and mailed them this morning so that the task is done.\u00a0 Robin called and was “fired” from Boeing.\u00a0 Well, perhaps “fired” was overstated.\u00a0 She coughed, sneezed, and was told: “go home.”\u00a0 So, I\u00a0 invited her to CPK for lunch, where we had a small lunch!<\/p>\n

We were talking about Sue and I always hand-holding, and Robin caught me holding Sue’s hand just after she passed.\u00a0 I did not want to let go.<\/p>\n

Robin followed my home, and we went through the Social Security paperwork, and we got the Boeing benefits packages.\u00a0 Excellent news, I do not have to eat dog food!\u00a0 I do, however, have to obtain a certified copy of the marriage certificate and a death certificate.\u00a0 More to add to my “to-do” list.<\/p>\n

Speaking about “To-Do” lists, I fixed Colleen’s loose balls problem.\u00a0 Indeed, one of the new casters I put on the kitchen table was defective!<\/p>\n

Manufacturing default causes the bearings to fall out!<\/p><\/div>\n

I got my delivery of “HelloFresh” today courtesy of my lovely daughter Colleen!\u00a0 I have no idea yet what to do with it, but it looks good, and the receipts and instructions seem easy! Looking at the pictures, I can hardly wait to try it!<\/p>\n

HelloFresh’s business model is to prepare the ingredients needed for a meal, and then deliver them to customers, who must then cook the meal using recipe cards, which takes around 30\u201340 minutes. It generally provides about three two-person meals a week for about $60 to $70. That means I get home-cooked meals for $10 each, sounds like a deal!<\/p>\n

Thursday evening Robin is going to stay overnight, and we are going to try the Enchilada meal, and tonight I went to the market and got margarita fixings.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I was excited to open it up!<\/p>\n

Now to work!\u00a0 I hit the yard with my new electric shear in hand and brought down most of the mighty pomegranate tree.<\/p>\n

I cut and cut and cut, and it is still way too big!!<\/p><\/div>\n

I did the nightly Bat Phone call with Robin and afterward decided it was time to go to bed, after all, it was dark out.\u00a0 Then my eyes saw the wall clock, 7:30 PM.\u00a0 So, to pass the time, I went to the market and got eggs and coarse salt plus some bell peppers for tomorrow mornings scrambled eggs.<\/p>\n

Back home, I made some calls and got some calls.\u00a0 My granddaughter, Jackie, called on her way home from work, a nice surprise! We talked for quite a while.\u00a0 By 9:30 PM I headed to the front room to watch the boob-tube but decided to go back into the office and mess around until 10:30 PM and then crash.\u00a0 Without Sue around, I just pace back and forth!\u00a0 It will get better.<\/p>\n

In researching past events, I ran into some people who I knew 50 years ago, the Saylors and Paul Legvold.\u00a0 I sent that information to Colleen to forward to Jan, her bio-mother.\u00a0 You can find almost anything on the internet, some good some not so good.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow bright and early I must arise and clean the house because the house cleaners are coming!<\/p>\n
