Missing you is something that comes in waves. And this morning, I am just drowning.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We traveled around the world for many years and played golf everywhere we could. Below, we were in Kauai, the garden island. I remember it was hot and Sue was cool. (She was always cool) Eighteen holes and she was herself, right down the middle of the fairway, in the cup.\u00a0 She would turn around, and I was still in the bushes looking for my ball!<\/p>\n

We golfed everywhere we went, including Toyoko, Singapore, Alaska, New Zealand, Barbatos, Costa Rica, Panama, Thailand, everywhere.<\/p><\/div><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

I was reading my e-mail and all of a sudden I heard a clunking sound.\u00a0 The back door was opening and I heard one of our trash cans being rolled around the back.\u00a0 My dear daughter Colleen decided she had better go through the refrigerator so I would not poison myself.\u00a0 She tossed out all the out of dated stuff and then proceeded to put the expiration dates in big black numbers on everything in the refrigerator.\u00a0 \u00a0I was afraid to go into the kitchen for fear she would mark me!\u00a0 How thoughtful she has become! Wow!<\/p>\n

The iPhone sprung to life, belched out a couple of tones, and I knew it was Dr. Bob Z.\u00a0 The first question, “Did you go for your walk?”\u00a0 \u00a0Feeling guilty, I immediately located my walking clothes.\u00a0 They are easy to find consisting of sequined spandex speedo tights, size 44 girdle adjusting it so my chest would pop out (but just short of my eyes bulging out), and of course my Australian Outback hat.\u00a0 The iPhone was pressed into service playing me The Statler Brothers while keeping track of where I have been on the pedometer.<\/p>\n

I put on my sweatshirt Sue have me for walking and noticed the printing on the shirt. “If found, return to….”.\u00a0 Well, I never noticed the address was not ours!\u00a0 She was so clever that way!<\/p>\n

As I took my first few steps, I got another of many notifications via the iPhone and George Lee sent a note via Facebook.\u00a0 I pretty much lost it.\u00a0 George, Sue, Robin, and I have been friends for 20+ years! Robin reminded me that I got George a “Silver Snoopy” for his great work on the Shuttle Program!<\/p>\n

Thank you, George, for the kind thoughts<\/p><\/div>\n

My trip today was a mile, and tomorrow I’m going for a mile and a half leaving as soon as I get my butt out of bed and a cup of coffee down the hatch.\u00a0 Early is right for me; get the heart started!<\/p>\n

Becca and Zack called and wanted to go to lunch to see me and say bye to Colleen, who is flying home tonight.\u00a0 We went to TGIFriday at\u00a0 Knott’s Berry Farm.\u00a0 Robin joined us there at 12:30 PM.<\/p>\n

Remy and Mom were discussing “dining options” since he had his first taste of buffalo wings!<\/p><\/div>\n

Silly Lilly was excited to see Great Aunt Colleen, Great Aunt Robin, and Great Grandpa!\u00a0 She proceeded to show us how to east spaghetti by hand.<\/p>\n

She is plotting her next silly action!<\/p><\/div>\n

I had to tell Zack how he almost got the police called on him, and we had a good laugh about that! Yesterday morning he verified our security system works!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>

Funny things happen along life’s highway!<\/p><\/div>\n

Grandma Sue was a topic of conversation, and Robin reminded us that the only other man Sue had danced with was her husband, Bob.\u00a0 Robin and Bob had taken ChaCha lessons, and Bob was so proud.\u00a0 Sue told him to get up and show off his new-found steps.\u00a0 Off they went.\u00a0 It’s been many many moon’s ago, and Robin and I just stared at each other in amazement!.<\/p>\n

Remember, after the back surgery, she was left with a back that fused too early and was unstable without a cane or me to assist her.\u00a0 The only way to fix the problem was to operate, break her back on purpose, realign the bones, and spend a year in recovery.\u00a0 She did not trust anyone but me to assist her except for getting assistance in the ladies’ room.<\/p>\n

They ChaCha’ed and had a lot of fun!<\/p><\/div>\n

Perhaps the trust in Bob came from the cruise we took together on the Queen Mary.\u00a0 That was quite a trip we talked about for years!<\/p>\n

Sailing the seas on the Queen Mary was exciting!<\/p><\/div>\n

After lunch, Collen and Robin returned home with me, and we chattered all afternoon. The girls are making plans for the Celebration of Life, which is coming very early next month.\u00a0 We have people who want to speak, a band to select (we do not plan any dancing but just soft background music to remember the music she so loved), we have two singers, and several poets who have things to say.<\/p>\n

Robin headed for home at 5:30 PM, and I decided to lay down as I am dropping Colleen at the airport at 8:00 PM.<\/p>\n

The trip to the airport went just fine, but I could have done without the rain!<\/p>\n
