If Santa ran out of money, would he be Saint Nickel-less?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our daughter is into genealogy and as such decided to visit Aunt Kaye in Stockton.\u00a0 Kaye is now 97 and is a skilled nursing facility as she recently had a fall and broke an arm and a hip.\u00a0 The meeting was, unfortunately, not very successful as Kaye no longer remembers much.<\/p>\n

Colleen put Aunt Kaye on the phone and we talked to her for about ten minutes.\u00a0 While she does repeat herself, she knew Sue’s and my voice immediately and asked about things.\u00a0 She is quite alert but memories just fade away!<\/p>\n

She still gets around in the wheelchair but does not want to undergo the operation required to fix things<\/p><\/div>\n

What was amazing is that Colleen departed our home at 2:40 AM, arrived at Stockton around 11:00 AM, visited for a while, and then returned at 6:00 PM in time to go to dinner and drinks with us at Patty’s Place!\u00a0 We wished we could do that anymore!<\/p>\n

We stayed around the house most of the day (worrying about her trip) and finally decided we would go to Patty’s when she returns.<\/p>\n

We got so busy talking with the locals that I didn’t even take a picture.\u00a0 We talked a lot about how things used to be.<\/p>\n

They are indeed different<\/p><\/div>\n

After dinner, Colleen joined us for part of a Christmas movie!\u00a0 We saw the part when our eyes were open!\u00a0 Tired!<\/p>\n
