My doctor told me I needed to break a sweat once a day so I told him I’d start lying to my wife.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bandages come off and I was surprised, no wonder there were twenty stitches. One more inch and I could be the next Vincent van Gogh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were supposed to a visit from the Medicare nurse but she called and had to reschedule… Good, we can eat earlier!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I scraped my arm in the shop and it was bleeding pretty good and all of a sudden I remembered what Mom would do for something like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We celebrated and went to the Panda Inn on Valley View to indulge in the finest Chinese fare. We love Sichuan cuisine (spelled Szechuan or Szechwan) which is a style of Chinese cuisine originating from the Sichuan Province of southwestern China, famed for bold flavors, particularly the pungency and spiciness resulting from liberal use of garlic and chili peppers, as well as the unique flavor of the Sichuan peppercorn .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had our normal fare but today I ordered Bok Choy and Mushrooms! Delightful. Looked like little green octopuses! The veggie is packed with vitamins A and C. One cup of cooked bok choy provides more than 100% of the recommended dietary allowance (RDA) of A, and close to two-thirds the RDA of C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After such a great meal, I started to read my latest acquisition…the Apple Book! That means a trip to the market is in the near future. We love apples but Sue is not into sweets so I may have to take my results next door…Vicky will like that!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the carotid scan we called Mitch and he joined us tonight for dinner at Malarkey’s. Irene is still in Camarillo with her sister-in-law assisting in an illness. The operator could not tell me anything but she kinda hinted nothing has changed since the last diagnosis! Great! Not!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walking out the door, Sue spotted the “dead plant” and I had to remind her it is supposed to be dead as that indicate the potatoes are ready to be dug up!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are about 10-25 thumb sized potatoes lurking under this bad-boy!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

So, what does it look like as the potatoes are forming…it’s a beautiful green plant with small while blossoms!<\/p>\n\n\n

Malarkey’s here we come! We arrived at the same time as Mitch…perfect timing. We enjoyed dinner and two hours of sharing and laughing and catching up. We will also see hime Saturday at the family birthday party for Remy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was beginning to get dark as we departed Melanie’s. I had a “chili-size” and Mitch did the shepherds pie. We also got the great news that Mitch is 35 days cigarette free. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
