kids<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These days, we take the simple way out and go to Old Ranch Country Club, usually about 10-12 of us, and have them do the work!\u00a0 We actually get our own turkey and cut it up so it&#8217;s a little like home! Who will do the carving this year?\u00a0 We will have to see!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Random Memories:\u00a0 Going back 60 years, I remember Thanksgiving in Paramount with my Aunts.\u00a0 They would work all day in a kitchen about the size of our guest bathroom and out of the little kitchen would come the greatest turkey&#8217;s ever served.\u00a0 I believe to this day it was the love put into the cooking process that made the turkey&#8217;s taste so good!\u00a0 Of course, while the turkey was cooking my cousin Claudia and me would turn the ol&#8217; ice cream crank while Dad would add salt and ice to the bucket.\u00a0 We knew dessert would be special!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"450\" height=\"562\" src=\"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/11\/vintage-turkey-2-450x562.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-33383\" srcset=\"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/11\/vintage-turkey-2-450x562.jpg 450w, http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/11\/vintage-turkey-2-120x150.jpg 120w, http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/11\/vintage-turkey-2-241x300.jpg 241w, http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/11\/vintage-turkey-2.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><figcaption>The turkey was always huge!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Sue read and stayed inside where it is warm.\u00a0 I went to the wine store and dropped by the hardware store to get some waterproofing spray paint.\u00a0 I put a tarp over our outside glider-swing and it is amazing that in four months, the Sun baked away the coating.\u00a0 I fool the rain this time because I put two layers of plexiglass on the swing so even if the tarp gets wet, the swing will stay dry!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We stopped doing chores early as we had to head for Melanie&#8217;s (Malarkey&#8217;s) in Long Beach for our normal Monday afternoon sunset watch with Irene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/11\/sunset-1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" src=\"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/11\/sunset-1-450x338.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-33379\" srcset=\"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/11\/sunset-1-450x338.jpg 450w, http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/11\/sunset-1-150x113.jpg 150w, http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/11\/sunset-1-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/11\/sunset-1-768x576.jpg 768w, http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2018\/11\/sunset-1.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><figcaption>The sunset was actually quite interesting<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We sat around the solved the world&#8217;s problems for a couple of hours, devouring a pizza in the process!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crazy Greg called and decided to join us at home for a visit.\u00a0 He asked our Alexa to play &#8220;Windom Hill Holiday Guitar Collection&#8221; and it was fantastic!\u00a0 Great music and a perfect background for this evenings converation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We did do tookies before crashing at about midnight!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Never laugh at your wife&#8217;s choices\u2026 your one of them!
