We had breakfast finishing off all the remaining left-overs in the frig. Yeah, we can go out to eat again!<\/p>\n
Perhaps Chinese this week?\u00a0 Oops, we forgot… Paul’s old saying always haunts us: “I do not sew with a fork, and I see no reason why I should eat with knitting needles.”\u00a0 However, it is a well known fact that if you eat anything with chopsticks, there are no calories to be had!\u00a0 We find ourselves in a dilemma which is like a DeSoto, only different!<\/p>\n
Upon returning to our little home from the walk, Sue O’Liles had the fixins out for a St. Patrick’s Day meal!\u00a0 We had 10 pounds of corned beef and fresh cabbage from our garden, just picked this morning!<\/p>\n
<\/a>The corned beef was really really fresh!!!<\/p><\/div>\n
We had two pots of corned beef going, a mix of potatoes from the market and from our garden plus the cabbage.\u00a0 It was a veritable steam bath of delightful smells and the expectations were running rampant!\u00a0 We get to be Irish in a couple of hours!<\/p>\n
We sat down to what some late afternoon TV before going to the kitchen to check on dinner.\u00a0 Finally at 7:00 PM we could not wait, out came the meal!\u00a0 Sue doesn’t eat meat so poor ol’ Paul was FORCED to munch on the corned beef and it was FANTASTIC.<\/p>\n
We talked about work a little remembering what it was like eleven years ago. Sue asked the question: “Who was the only person who got his work done by Friday?”\u00a0 Paul, without batting an eye, responded “Robinson Crusoe”.<\/p>\n
