In Bakersfield, 140 miles out, we stopped at Bill Lee’s <\/a>for brunch.\u00a0 They have great food which keeps us going the rest of the day!\u00a0 We are now “regulars”.<\/p>\n On 16th Street in Downtown Bakersfield<\/p><\/div>\n A good run today… zero traffic<\/p><\/div>\n We took Aunt Kaye to dinner at Strings… Wow!\u00a0 They were so busy!\u00a0 We even had to wait 20 minutes to get in…. Normally, we go for a late lunch!<\/p>\n We told Aunt Kaye that should anything happen to her, we would take Mitzie (her baby dog) and make sure she had a great home to live out her days.\u00a0 Aunt Kaye came to tears!<\/p>\n Aunt Kaye at 95 still has her appetite!<\/p><\/div>\n Sue tries the artichoke ravioli<\/p><\/div>\n We had a great meal and afterwords, we went to Aunt Kaye’s house for a visit before going to Wine and Roses Spa for the evening.\u00a0 At our hotel, we went to the lounge and again listened to the greatest piano player while downing some drinks!\u00a0 We slept until 8:30 the next morning!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" We departed at 9:00 and pulled into Aunt Kaye’s at 5:00 PM… It was a good run today!\u00a0 We needed a “funny” to get the day stated.
